She frowned lightly. "It's too early to hear you gripe lizard." She took two teaspoons of sugar and a bit of vanilla creamer and swirled it around with the spoon. She glanced at him. "And fix your hair, you look like a bum."

He narrowed his eyes and stood, walking into the kitchen. "Say that to my face." How dare she call him a lizard? She had no idea how offensive that was! His hand shot up, going to reach for a handful of her shirt, just as his elders had done to him multiple times at home. He stopped, realizing what he'd been planning to do, and dropped his hand. "I'm sorry, just... don't call me that."

She smiles playfully, that word got on his nerves huh? She was going to keep that in mind. "Personally if you did assault me, that wouldn't have ended well for you." It was weird, him being that close, she actually looked him over. Of course her 5'6 wasn't a match to his height. "Fix your hair, not a lot of people like bed heads."

"Hair is so pointless, I don't need it. Why do humans have it everywhere? Everywhere I look, this body has more hair." He did his best to fix the blonde locks, then looked to her as if asking if it looked okay. It wasn't that her wanted her approval, but rather that he wanted to make sure he looked human enough. -
She nodded an okay at his hair. "Well along time ago we used hair to keep up warm, now it's just there for a random reason sometimes and then it's for warmth again." She took a sip from her coffee and smiled.

He rolled his eyes. "Scales are definitely more useful..." Blink stared at the coffee machine. "What does that produce?" he asked, realizing he was a little hungry.

She chuckled lightly. "It makes coffee, something us humans drink when we are tired or need a pick me up." She held her mug out. "If you want to try it you can, but there is sugar and cream in it." She blinked. "Wait...what do you eat?"

He looked with interest into the coffee, then went to pour a cup without any in it. "We... uh... eat a diet of almost entirely protein. Variations of your beef, pork, anything, really." He took a sip of the coffee, and somehow managed to keep it down.

She tilted her head. "Well that means I have to go shopping today." She smiled. "You like coffee?"

Blink took another sip, then stretched. "Some would even eat you. I guess so, it tastes decent."

She rolled her eyes a bit and placed her cup down. "Like anyone would get close enough." She started to walk back to her bedroom. "Eat any food from the fridge you want."

Blink nodded. "Okay. What are you doing today?" he asked, then set down the coffee and headed for the fridge.

She stopped halfway to the entrance and turned. "I have to go to work, so..." she bit her lip. "You'll be here alone for a couple of hours."

"Oh. What's your name, by the way?" He sniffed something he'd retrieved, a box of leftover takeout, and tried not to gag. There wasn't much in here he'd want to eat.

She smiled lightly. "Sadie Carter, but at work I'm..." she stopped herself and then started to walk into her room, closing the door slowly.
