She shrugged. "Figured as much, from aliens I've met only one kind looks almost human, but they don't visit or crash here very often." She heard the elevator ding when they finally got to the fourth floor and the doors slid open. "Come on." She took a left and kept glancing back to see if he was following. She dug her keys out of her pockets slowly and stopped at her door, unlocking it slowly, opening it to a small walk way into a large grey and blue living room. She glanced at him. "You go in first."
-
Blink tentatively stepped inside of the room, sniffing the air to check for potential traps. Once he was convinced that he was fairly safe, he turned to his captor and eyed her warily. As soon as she closed the door...
-
She walked into the apartment and closed the door behind her, walking past the alien boy...thing slowly and humming lightly. She walked past the living room and into the kitchen.
-
Blink stood, rigid, in the center of the living room. The entire space seemed cold, and there was no trace of anything personal. It was almost as if the woman could be replaced at any time, and her apartment and identity and life could be picked up by someone entirely different. Since she was in the kitchen, he figured he could sneak up behind her and attack. His hand reached for the band and pressed a tiny button on it, and he instantly transformed back into himself.
-
She turned around quickly after she got something out of the fridge, it looked like two orange colored drinks in glass bottles. "Hey are you..." she blinked slowly, looking past the island and seeing...well a reptilian thing standing in her living room. "Ah...so that's what you look like." She smiled.
-
He hissed at her, taking a few steps forward. "If you try anything without explicitly telling me beforehand, I will not hesitate to slaughter you and any colleagues involved." He knelt down to look her in the eye. "Do I make myself clear?"
-
She blinked and tilted her head at him. "You know, you have a funny way of ordering people around and..." she shrugged. "Fine not like you'd actually hurt me." She twisted her watch slowly, bringing up a holographic screen. She glanced at it. "From the Durga system right?" She still had a hold on the bottles.
-
He growled in defeat and stood up straight again. "No, I'm from a colony in the Damsta Clusters. What do you want with me, anyway? I'm not here to cause harm." His long, thick tail fell to the ground, a potential tripping hazard.
-
She shrugged lightly and turned the holographic screen off. "I don't know, would you rather have been beaten to a pulp and cuffed, brought in for questioning by my coworkers?" She frowned and started walking out of the kitchen, carefully stepping over his tail, but tripped partially, trying to catch herself.
-
Blink's tail shot up instinctively and caught the girl. "I'd rather be left alone, really. What are humans like, other than violent?"
-
She blinked and sighed lightly, thankful his tail caught her. "Change back and I'll tell you, I'm not used to aliens that used to look like my pet iguana from when I was six." She straightened up and walked over to the living room, sitting on a grey chair.
-
"I don't want to. It's... painful." He sat on the couch, then pulled off his satchel and started going through it.
-
She sighed lightly and opened one of the orange filled bottle. "Well humans are..kind if you meet the right ones." She shrugged. "I'm nicer than most of my coworkers so...I'm one of the good people on this planet."
-
"Humans sound terrible. At least Durgas are predictable." Convinced that everything was there, he... wait. There was definitely something missing. Food rations.
-
"We aren't terrible, there are good people out there, they just are hard to find." She frowned. "You look like you've lost something."
