Eyeing the clock, Will noticed with a small surge of happiness that the class was almost over. The teacher was still quite distracted, feigning interest in the details of how the girls prepared their hair in the morning. Will quietly slid out of his seat and out of the classroom. His art grade didn't matter that much, if the teacher even noticed his disappearance. He walked aimlessly down the halls. Maybe he could meet Oliver in the locker room for a few minutes before third period.
-
As the teacher finally rushed over to help, Oliver spat a mouthfull of bloodied spit next to himself. He barked, "Don't touch me," as he came to a stand. Ms. Guile sympathetically smile and told him, "Go inside and change, then go to the nurse. Okay?" Instead of answering, he glared at her for a moment, slowly turning on his heel. He started in a quick paced walk. Every so often, he glanced back, and so once he saw they returned to playing, he ran to the gym doors.
-
Will finally decided to wait by the doors. The gym class had probably gone outside to play whatever sport they were doing today, so he could probably catch Oliver on his way inside. He wondered what Ms. Guile was making them okay today, and hoped it wasn't dangerous. He knew he seemed like an overprotective parent, but he couldn't help worrying about him.
-
Oliver had his head down and his heart pounding with that resting anxiety that was starting to bubble over. The blood was what terrified him the most, therefore he repeatedly spat whatever he felt building. His lip shook very slightly as he pushed through the gym doors, his only intentions on making it to the locker room. That idea came back to him, and this time, he honestly thought it was the best thing that he had ever dreamt up.
-
Will spotted the boy he was waiting for come through the door and had to resist the urge to run over to him. He walked over and smiled. "Hey, Oliver." He blinked and his smile quickly changed to an expression of panic, noticing a bit of blood on his lips. "H-Hey, are you okay? You're bleeding!" He yelped.
-
Oliver turned in a hurried and horrified fashion. He seemed as though he was prepared to hit somebody. His eyes showed nothing but fear. He did not want his boyfriend to worry like he was, so he even went to the point of swallowing the blood he had planned to spit. Promptly after, in a hushed, even-more-emembarrassed tone, he told him, "I fell." He knew he shouldn't lie, so while he could, he said, "Well, I got knocked over. But I still fell."
-
Will frowned, continuing to fret and jump around Oliver, checking him for any other injuries. "And you're sure you're okay?" He asked, biting his lip anxiously and looking at Oliver, eyes wide in concern. He hated seeing the boy look so frightened, almost dangerously so. "Oliver..."
-
Oliver only stared, and after moment, he started to apologize numerous times. He hated making Will worry, but to himself, it was always what he seemed to do. He clamped his mouth shut and headed towards the locker room, secretly hoping Will would follow. As much as he didn't say it, he didn't feel a certain amount of comfort knowing that he was there. He just was never capable of wording it correctly, even of he did have a way with words in his writing. He hadn't stopped apologizing by the time he had made it to the door.
(this repetitive apology wasn't exactly crazy sounding, it was more so out of guilt) -
*he did feel
-
Will quickly hurried after the other boy. "No, no, don't be sorry, I just wanted to make sure you're okay," He explained quickly, catching up to Oliver and glancing over at him. He offered a small smile, hoping to reassure him. Sometimes he couldn't tell whether or not Oliver enjoyed his company, or if he even wanted him around, but he'd never said anything against Will being there, so he stayed.
-
Oliver found himself in his quieter state once again, very content with what Will had told him. He wanted to hug him and spill his heart out, but he couldn't, especially with his mouth bleeding like it was. He could tell the bleeding was going down somewhat, but he was unable to calculate just how much. As he stepped into the locker room, he made sure that the door didn't slam. He asked, after swallowing, "Would you come to the nurse with me?"
-
Mail was quick to nod. "Of course! Yeah, I will." He hoped Oliver hadn't fallen too hard, or that whatever had happened wasn't too serious. Not that Oliver was very open about his emotions, but Will knew that certain things upset him, and being pushed around was probably one of them.
-
In response, Oliver gave a goofy, closed-mouth grin before walking in the direction of his locker. Once he stood in front of it, he clicked his code in, carefully opening the metal door. He pulled from the space his perfectly folded clothes, and then glanced around, making sure nobody but Will was around. When he was positive, he began to change, first taking his shirt off and placing it next to his clothes.
-
Will's mood brightened considerably when Oliver grinned at him, but he blushed slightly when the other boy discarded his shirt. Will glanced to the side, not wanting to make his boyfriend uncomfortable (or tempt himself) while he changed. "
-
He replaced whatever clothing he had on with what he had been wearing in the morning. During this time, he had made sure to keep his mouth clamped tight as to not let anything out. Once he was completely finished, he threw his gym outfit into his bag and nodded. He joined Will directly after the task was done and over with.
