Will grabbed his hand and gave it a little squeeze. He wasn't sure Oliver would appreciate a hug, but he wanted to make sure the other boy knew he was there for him. He hated seeing him hurt or in pain of any kind, and holding hands, as chest as he thought it was, made him feel much better.
-
Oliver eyes softened with a glint of happiness resting within them. He locked their fingers together, thanking the other male quietly. He was going to show Will just how much he appreciated all of the little things, he just needed a way to do so. He then recalled that he had a bleeding mouth, and vy feeling around, he was actually able to locate where the injury was. He could feel the dents and bumps in his cheek and lower lip. "Mm..To the nurse?"
-
"Yeah, let's go." He said, starting to walk towards their destination. "I'm sorry you got pushed. I'm gonna guess it was one of those stupid jocks?" He asked, sounding a little annoyed. Not at Oliver, but at whoever had hurt him.
-
"Actually, yes," he frowned, looking onto the situation. As he stepped with him, he touched his bottom lip a few times, trying to make himself know if it was swollen or not. He couldn't tell, as it only felt like skin and nothing else. He dropped that other hand to the side, glancing down at the knot of fingers. This soothed him, as well.
-
He kept their hands linked until they got the nurses office, and then he only let go to hold the door open for Oliver. "I really hate them. They think they can push everybody around.." He muttered.
-
"Thank you," he first said, and then, "It's true, they really do." He sighed gently, heading to sign in. There appeared to be nobody else in the office except for the nurses. He scribbled down his name and reason, and noticing how sloppy his handwriting looked, he took note of his shaking. He hadn't realized this before, but it didn't matter much bow that he was where he could get up. A nurse with curly brown hair and a kind voice noticed the two and walked over with a small smile. "Hi, how can I help you?" she asked.
-
"He fell." Will spoke for him, then blushed slightly, not meaning to have blurted it out. "Uh, he was pushed. He's bleeding. His mouth, I think." He told the nurse with a small smile. He'd seen her around the school a few times, but he tried to avoid going to the nurse and being sent home.
-
The nurse thanked Will in her most polite voice, tippng her head towards him. When he stepped in front of Oliver, she examined his face, noticing the dribbles of red. "Ouch. Seems like you took a fall." She extended her hands and touched around his face, which caused Oliver to tense, but he knew that she was only trying to help. She found a few swollen parts by the places in which Oliver had bitten.
"Can you open your mouth?" she asked. Oliver shrugged slightly and did as asked. She pulled from her pocket a small flashlight and looked around, making a few faces. "I'll be back with gauze and ice. Take a seat. You're all shaken up." She left to retrieve the supplies while Oliver sat comfortably in one of the seats. -
Will didn't hesitate to settle into the seat beside him. Trying (but failing) to be inconspicuous, he linked their arms and settled his head on Oliver's shoulder with a sigh. "Honestly, I wish we could just go somewhere without stupid jocks and mean teachers. Just us, you know?" He murmured, forcing himself not to sound too sad.
-
"That would be nice," he said almost silently. He noticed the amount of sadness in his boyfriend's voice, and instantly felt bad. He gave a quick kiss to the top of his head before looking away and waiting for the nurse to return. The blood was making his chest feel constricted, but he wouldn't say that.
-
Will felt a bit comforted by the small gesture, and pressed just a little bit closer to Oliver. Part of him hoped the nurse took a long time to get the supplies. As much as he wanted Oliver to get patched up and feel better, it was so nice nice being by his side like this. He didn't say anything more, he didn't have to. Will just wished it would stay like this.
-
Oliver listened for the nurse's footsteps. "I just want to go home today. The day started off crappy, so who's to say that it won't get worse?" He focused on his shoelaces, a bit upset over the day so far. The ridges and bites in his mouth put a sub-emotion of fury into his system. He despised everything about the situation, and so the thought of going home and reading under the covers was something he clung to for a moment.
-
Will lifted his head up and nodded. "She'll probably let you go home. I'm sorry you've had such a bad morning." He tried to comfort the other boy, while simultaneously dreading having to survive the rest of the day without Oliver. "You're not still in pain, are you?" He asked as an afterthought, concerned once more.
-
He hahadn't even registered the question when his words just started rolling off one another in a mini-rant. "They are all so idiotic. They're so loud with their yelling and their jokes and their laughter. They think they can just touch anybody they can get their hands on and it makes me so mad." He took a sharp breath in, apologizing after he spoke. "It only hurts somewhat. I'll be fine."
-
Will bit his lip anxiously, not expecting to hear such anger in the other boy's voice. He sounded violent, kind of scary. "I-I know. I hate it too." He mumbled in a hurried response. "I'm sorry this happened, Oliver..." Something about him had seemed off lately, and it really worried Will. Almost like he was planning something, and he always seemed angry...
