Antonio grinned, and sweeped Lovino up into a hug. "Perfect! All day!" He said, excited to have a while with Lovino.

Lovino blushed, happy to be in Antonio's embrace, but at the same time, a familiar sense of panic overwhelmed him. That dream...anyone would look through the bars of the wagon and see them together. Not having the heart to push him away, Lovino simply stood in his arms, both anxious and pleased at the position.

Antonio held him for a few moments, then slowly pulled his arms away. "Do you know how far we are from town? If it's not too far, we could borrow one of the horses and go out."

Lovino nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea. I'm pretty sure it's only a few minutes into town, from what I was told." There were always a few horses not performing, they were trained and ready in case another horse was injured. The circus members often borrowed them to ride to the towns if they had the time.

"Okay, I'll take a bit of money and we can go out. It's been a while since I've been into a town." Antonio beamed, turning around to pat Maira on the trunk. His excitement seemed to get her all static as well, as she trumpeted and reached out for Lovino's hair. -

Lovino resisted the urge to flinch away. After what he'd seen Gorro do to Antonio's arm, he felt a little nervous around the animals. But Maira seemed much gentler, so he let the elephant reach out for him. "Yeah, we can go whenever you're ready." -
Antonio nodded, while Maira was gently plucking at the Italian's hair, grabbing it in clumps then releasing repeatedly. "I'll be right back," he said, then hurried out of the wagon to his own.

Lovino reached up and gently patted Maira's trunk as he waited to return, smiling slightly as she tugged at his hair. He could see why Antonio enjoyed being around the elephants so much.

While Antonio was gone, Maira kept her full attention on Lovino, plucking at everything from his hair to his shirt collar an everything in between. She did this to Antonio, as well, but it was more fun with someone else. She pinched his nose, trying to incite a reaction.

Lovino quickly pulled back in surprise, laughing softly at Maira's exploration. He patted her trunk again and rubbed his nose. "You're one weird elephant, huh?" He murmured, though there was a hint of affection in his voice.

Maira huffed out of her nose in reply, trapsing away from Lovino to eat some of the hay off of the ground. Antonio returned, holding a small burlap pouch that jingled with coins. "Okay, ready?" He asked, not entering the wagon but asking the question through the bars.

Lovino turned and nodded, slipping out of the wagon. He had his own little sack of coins tied at his waist. He led Antonio over to the stable wagon, where the spare horses stayed. Smiling slightly, he took out his favorite horse. Wendy, a velvety black mare. She was too old to perform now, but she still had a lot of energy, and could easily carry them both into town. Lovino would often come visit the horse when he was inspecting the acts and wagons. "This is Wendy," He introduced, giving the horse's neck a gentle pet.

Antonio, despite hanging around creatures that weighed thousands of pounds all day, was a little testy around horses. He reached out, touching the horse's neck where Lovino had. "Are you gonna do the... The driving?"

Lovino smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'll hold the reins." He took down the saddle and the rest of the normal riding equipment, the only set they had that wasn't covered in glitter and feathers and fake jewels for the shows. He swung one leg over and easily mounted the horse, holding a hand out to help Antonio on.

Antonio took the hand up, pulling himself onto the horse. He sat snuggly beside Lovino, and once he was settled, he smiled. "Lovi, do you want to stay in town tonight? Like, get a hotel? We won't have to worry about anyone checking on us." He kissed the back of Lovino's neck, wrapping his arms around his waist.
