She sighed lightly and twisted the ring around her finger, which felt like an old habit. "Look...I'm sorry about...earlier..." she mumbled a bit. "I...I didn't know how to...react."
-
Xavier shrugged lightly and scratched Charley's ears. "I've only ever told one person about my magic and she.. She was killed." He said quietly and closed his eyes. Opening his eyes again he looked up at her with a sigh. "Maybe you should stay away from me, I'm nothing but trouble."
-
She frowned at him. "You're my first friend in a very long time. I'm not letting you be stupid because of how I reacted." She kept twisting the ring around nervously, not understanding really what was coming out of her mouth. "Like hell I'm going to leave."
-
"Except you could die just by being near me." He looked away from her and shook his head. Xavier started to play with his jean hole again and started to space out in his own world.
-
She walked closer to him and grabbed his wrist. "Stop saying that like I'm going to die or somethinf like that!" She glared at him. "I'm not going to die and we are partners for history class. So you have to be around me."
-
Xavier groaned and looked at her. Standing up he looked down at her and glared. "Everyone around me dies Sadie. No one is safe and I can promise you that. In a few months I'll be eighteen and I'll either be marked as good or evil and my full power will be unleashed.. If I turn evil..." He looked away and sighed.
-
She glared harder and pushed him. "Like you could even hurt a fly Xavier, I know I haven't know you for long, but...after that stupid trip thing we took earlier made something click in my mind." She held her hand up that had the ring. "This thing is connected to both of us."
-
Xavier's eyes flashed when she pushed him but he didn't budge. "Please don't push me." He said quietly and ran a hand through his hair. "But why? Why does it connect us?" He huffed and rubbed his eyes. "We could ask my Uncle.. He would know."
-
She started to twist the ring around her finger again nervously. "I really don't know about that..." she had an odd feeling she shouldn't trust his uncle. "He probably wouldn't like me so..." she slid off the ring carefully and placed it in his hand, being careful not to touch him. "You show it to him."
-
Xavier nodded and closed his hand over the ring. "Maybe not.. Do you know anyone?" He played with the ring and was pleased with the tingling feeling of old magik dancing across his skin and touching his blood.
-
She glanced down at his floor. "My mom was always an ancient things like that but...she doesn't want to talk to me..." she mumbled as she leaned against a wall. "She doesn't want to have anything to do with me..."
-
Xavier put the ring in his pocket and lightly hugged her suddenly. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked softly and was both surprised and pleased to fun her body fitting perfectly into his own.
-
She blushed deeply and pulled away from him. "W-we just got into a-a fight after h-her and dad g-got divorced." She sighed. "She didn't want to see me ever again after that... dad always told me she didn't want to talk."
-
"Or maybe she didn't but he told you that she didn't." He said quietly and shoved his hands into his pockets feeling her rejection like a slap to the face. He fell back on to his bed and looked out the window.
-
"My father doesn't lie to me." She frowned lightly as she sat on the bed. "My mom...I don't remember much of her you know." She glanced at him and saw a bit of hurt on his face. "Are you angry at me now?"
