Xavier rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up to his knees before fully standing up to his full height. "Tell me, what do you like?" He asked carefully taking the paint into his hands and looking down at her with amusement.

She shrugged again for probably the third time. "Sunsets." She furrowed her brows a bit. That's odd...

He took the paint and walked over to her wall. Digging through the bag he pulled out a paint brush and the color of golden yellow and started to get to work.

She sat on her bed and watched him carefully, feeling like she had done this before. She glanced at the story book and picked it up, looking at it carefully. She opened the back and saw a bumped up part on it. She tilted her head curiously. "Hey Xavier...?"

"What's up?" He said without looking back at her as he painted. The sun was starting to take shape as he changed colors to a bronze orange. Almost the color of his eyes.

She picked at the back of the book and tore some of the patch off, waving him over. "Come look at this!" She picked up an old ring. It had a blackish red stone in the middle lf if and vines circling into the ring. She tilted her head curiously at it, it was familiar...somehow.

Xavier huffed and stood up. "Hm..?" He walked over towards her and looked down at the ring with a frown. He had paint on his hands and he lightly picked the ring up out of her hands and into his own. He shivered and closed his eyes for a moment.

She glanced up at him. "Are you okay...?" She then looked down at the ring in his hands and reached for it carefully. "Well...I call dibs on it since I found it." She brushed her hand against his and the ring, suddenly feeling cold.

Xavier gasped once her hand touched his. He suddenly grabbed her hand an pressed the ring between their hands as the room around them changed and swirled like colored smoke in a room. He couldn't speak as it started to take form into a old town.

She blinked and glanced around, scared and confused of what had happened. The place around them looked like the town in the old records she had laying on her bed. She looked at him. "Xavier..." she said shakly. "Where...are we?"

"I don't.. I don't know." He said quietly and pulled her closer to him. People walked past them without noticing them. "I think.. It's a memory." He said quietly and jumped as one of them walked through him and he touched his own chest lightly and saw it was solid. Before them a crowd was gathering around a stage like place. Nooses hung from the post above them and it appeared to be people behind them with bags over their heads.

She panicked and hugged him closer to her. She looked up to see the nooses and panicked more. "How...h-how is this possible?" She mumbled lightly, feeling people pass through here. "How do w-we get back..?"

"I'm not sure.." The ring was hot in their hands but cold at the same time. The people before them were lined up behind the nooses and the nooses went around their heads. A man was preaching about the devil and his evil. "We need to leave. Now. Let of the ring Sadie."

She nodded quickly and pulled her hand away quickly, seeing the world around them start to disappear, she saw the girl from the story there, looking exactly like herself. She coughed lightly and glanced around to see her room again.

Xavier was breathing hard as he looked around her room then down at the ring. "That.. Was.. Amazing!" He breathed and looke at her with wide bright eyes. "It has to mean something!" He said and handed her the ring but didn't touch it at the same time. He walked around and went back to his painting looking at him and grinning.
