"I think so but I'm not positive." He shrugged and looked around the room. "Maybe our souls are just meant to be together.." He blushed and looked down at his feet with a sigh.

She blushed more and shook her head. "So reincarnation stuff then...?" She tilted her head. "Why us? I mean the story, Evangeline's family was perfect, but...mine is broken and Nathaniel's...was whole."

"Our family has never been whole. At eighteen casters are either born to be darkness or light. Bad or good. And when you grow up with a family and suddenly someone turns on you to kill you one day and still love you.. It's messed up. Twisted." He sighed and tapped his fingers on the wall. "Maybe the little differences make a different story?"

She shrugged lightly. "But I don't understand why me? My family is seperated because of my father." She mumbled a bit. She looked up at him. "What I really don't understand is why does it want to repeat itself."

Xavier shrugged and grumbled under his breath. "I didn't think the idea of our souls being together was that bad.." He sighed an sat down on the floor and leaned against the wall.8

She glared at him. "That's not what I meant Xavier, I'm asking why us! Why not anyone else from your family or even mine!" She placed her head in her hands, showing a small scar on her neck. "Why me..."

Xavier threw his hands up in the air. "I don't know! I wish I did know! I wish I knew a lot of things like how come my father killed my mother and I had to run away from him to live!" Words tumbled out of his mouth and he was breathing heavily. He looked towards the wall and words started to swirl around slowly.

She looked up at him, her face wide with horror as she stood up slowly, walking over to him and hugging him lightly. "I'm sorry..." she mumbled into his back lightly.

Xavier took her hug but his body was tight with tension. "You weren't supposted to know.." He said quietly and closed his eyes to fight back the pain and tears he was feeling.

She frowned lightly and turned him to make her look at him. "Don't be like that, you already told me you're some sorcerer and this ring somehow makes us go back to see our past lives." She huffed lightly and poked him. "I'm not judging you about your family or what happened. All that matters is you're fine."

He looked down at her and gave a small shy smile like the first day he ever met her. "I know but still.." He sighed and wrapped his arms around her lightly and rested his chin on her head.

she blushed deeply and didn't pull away this time. "But nothing." she mumbled lightly. "your fine and I'm here to help." she glanced up at him.

Xavier didn't look down at her but knew she was watching him. "This is all a s--- new but we'll figure it out.. I promise." He finally looked down at her and smiled slightly.
