"Seen Hell? You're funny, but if you really think you can handle it, I'd appreciate the help." Ira hummed and took out his phone, opening a file that contained the most wanted criminals. He pointed out the one he was searching for. "Go ahead, run if you want."
-
Ava frowned. She definitely recognized the man on the screen. And she'd definitely have to do something about the man next to her. She smirked, then looked at the human. "I thought you'd show me someone worse. I'm sure I can help find him."
-
Ira was taken aback when she said she would help him find the man. After a long month of rejection, someone was finally going to help. He smiled with tears brimming in his eyes as he hugged her. "Thank you..Thank you so much!" He blushed and pulled away quickly. Hugging a female stranger. How inappropriate of him! "I-I'll make sure nothing happens to you.."
-
She went rigid as soon as he hugged her. "Y-you won't have to worry about me. Trust me." Ava started to relax, taking in how quickly the human had lost his cool. "Is there somewhere... a little more private, you think, that we could talk about this?"
-
"Some place private?" He hummed in thought, his own being the only place he could think of. "I normally wouldn't let someone I just met into my home, but that's the only place I can think of for now. Might I know your name?"
-
"Ava," she told him. An apartment was perfect! She'd have no trouble grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing him to death. Assuming he lived alone, he wouldn't be found until his neighbors complained about the stench coming through the vents.
-
"Nice to meet you, Ava. My name's Ira. Thank you so much for offering your help...I'll feel so much better once Rayne's at peace..." He murmured the last bit to himself and stood to lead the way, offering her his hand to help her up.
-
She took it, only to attempt to increase his trust. As they walked, she planned the entire scenario out in her head.
-
Ira carefully pulled her up and led the way towards the apartment he was currently staying in. He couldn't believe that someone was actually willing to help him, but despite her reassurance that she could care for herself, he still would go out of his way to protect Ava from harm.
-
He had such high expectations for this search. Ava almost felt bad for planning to kill him. It'd be over in under an hour, though, so her guilt wouldn't last very long. Still, this was the closest a human had gotten to trusting her in... well, almost forever.
-
The officer walked with her for about a half an hour before he reached the apartment complex. "Sorry I didn't bring my car. I normally don't need it in the mornings, but you can rest your feet once we're inside."
-
Ava shrugged. Getting into a police car was definitely worse than walking. "So, you've been searching for a month, right? It sounds pretty personal."
-
"It's very personal. Not only have we been chasing this guy for almost half the year, but I have twice as much reason and determination to put him behind bars."
-
"Would it be rude to ask why?" she said, then continued after a pause, "I'm rude. Tell me why it's so personal."
-
"Rude? Not at all. Nosey might work better." He teased and went to the kitchen to get a water bottle. "...I suppose I could share it with you. You are helping me after all. One of his more recent victims..was my little sister. He violated her then left her to rot like the disgusting monster he is..." Ira growled, tensing and gripping the plastic bottle firmly. "I'll kill him if the opportunity allows me."
