Drake, as he parked the bike in his own drive and took the helmet from Rosario, turned to help the smaller one off of the bike. "Look, I'm sorry, and I don't know what's wrong yet, but I want you to know that you can tell me anything," he said to him.
Arcelio set the beers on the kitchen counter, twisting one open. After he did, he looked at it, and left it there. Instead searching around for a notepad and a pen. Upon find it, he wrote as neatly as he could on it, leaning away from the paper so that his tears wouldn't drip on it.
To whomever is reading this, please know that I loved you all. And maybe you didn't love me, but I loved you. No, I'm not killing myself, but I also won't be back. I'm going home. Goodbye, I love you.
He read it back over, then scribbled out the 'whomever is reading this' and replaced it with 'Rayson'. He left it on the counter and tapped his fingers against it. Deciding this was what he wanted Rayson to find if he decided to come back, Arcelio got the phone, dialing for Daniel. -
(Oh oh also by the way I named two of my dogs on Minecraft Rayson and Arcelio
And yah Rayson died
Because I made an iron golem
And it freaking killed him like wtf) -
(wow mia foreshasdowing much)
Rosario some how managed to hold the tears back until they were inside. And then, right when the door close, he sunk down against it, hugging his knees, hiding his face in the tear-wet fabric of his jeans. It took him a few minutes to calm down, and when he did, he quickly, but softly said, "My dad raped me and Arcelio doesn't believe me." -
(Oh no not my hunky man ;3;
eee does danny answer the phooone)
While Rosario seemed to be needing a minute to sit against his closed front door, Drake sat down criss-cross in front of him, letting the boy take his time. When he finally did speak, Drake swallowed before answering. "Did you... Do you want to call the police? That's really bad, Ro... Is your dad at home?" -
(sorry didn't see that bit)
Daniel answered non the third ring, yawning into the phone. "Dad?"
The boy shook his head, standing up, leaning against the wall. "No. I-I can't call the police.. It's.. Oh, crap." Rosario ran a hand through his hair, knowing that he might as well tell Drake the whole story. "You might want to sit down." -
(sall good
Also Arcelio should probably give back Charlington's car xD I will work on that)
Arcelio was glad when it was Daniel's voice that answered. He smiled intothe phone, wiping away at his cheeks with his free hand. "Hey, Danny, it's Arcelio. I've- I've got to tell you something. And... I don't know how you'll like this..."
Drake followed Rosario with his eyes, only standing up when the boy leaned against the wall. His eyebrows were stressed, as he asked, "Ro, you sound kind of crazy already, but I'm going to listen to you." -
(probs)
The older boy's sleepiness went away, and he cleared his throat. "Hey, hey? You okay, Dad? Did something happen? Do I need to come home?"
"Oh, trust me, if you already think I'm crazy.." He inhaled, and began. In the matter of thirty minutes, he had spilled his whole life story, in detail, to Drake. His parents being assassins, being kidnapped, his mother being killed, the pain of living with Archer, him kidnapping his father's boyfriends, killing them all until he slipped up with Arcelio. Almost dying. Being held in captivity for five years.
When he was done, he just muttered a small, "Yeah," And watched Drake's face. -
Arcelio pulled the phone away from his face, making a small noise and looking at the ceiling. He wanted to leave, now that he'd heard what Rayson had apparently done, but his kids his kids his kids. He took the phone back again. "No, no no, change of plans, just don't pick up the phone for Rayson. Don't believe a word he says. Can you do that for me, Danny? And keep an eye on yourself? I just want you to be safe... I'll be there in a few hours. Bye. I have to call Magnus." He hung up on the boy quite suddenly, instead hurriedly dialling the number that Charlie had given him at the hotel.
Drake was a little confused, dumbfounded, and wondering if Rosario and Arcelio were playing a trick on him. "U-uhm... And that's all true, Ro?" -
Charlie picked up on the first ring. "Yeah?" He knew it was Arcelio, as he had only given the number to that one person.
"Yeah. Look." He tilted his chin up to show the long scar on his neck. "I wouldn't lie about this. Not about.." He swallowed, shrugging his shoulders. "Don't tell anyone?" -
"Hi. Charlie, it's Arcelio. Uhm... I've got Angel with Magnus already, but Ro's back. And I know where he is. So I'm going to come back and give you back your truck and then call a cab. Is that alright?"
Drake took a few more seconds to absorb it, then nodded quickly. "Y-yeah, I won't. I swear. But... What are you going to do? I mean, Arcelio sounded pretty upset. Are you going back?" -
"What about Rayson? He told me to stay with you until he could get back, Arcelio. I promised him I'd keep an eye on you."
Rosario shook his head, locking his eyes on the ground. "No. I can't. I was.. I was hoping I could stay with you for a bit? Just until I figure things out. Please?" -
-
Arcelio picked the pen up from the counter, twirling it in his fingers. "Yeah. No, I'm not doing that anymore. I'm going to stop somewhere and talk to Rosario really quick, but I'll be back at the hotel in like an hour? Is that okay?"
Drake seemed a little hesitant, biting his lip and making a little noise. "Okay..." He finally sighed, "But you'll have to sleep up in my room because my dad doesn't like people being on the couch too long. He says it leaves dents." Drake rolled his eyes a little, smiling softly at Rosario. "You can have my bed and I'll take a sleeping bag and some food up there. We'll watch tv on the computer." -
Charlie let out a small sigh. "I promised. Rayson would kill me, Arcelio. He clearly cares about you more than he does going to jail for murder. I think-" But he never got to tell Arcelio what he thought, because at that moment, someone cut the phone line to the Carser's house.
The door swung open, hitting the wall hard enough to put a hole in. Rayson stumbled in, followed by Archer, who had a gun in one hand, and a little, limp blonde girl in the other, a lake of blood plastered to the child's face.
Rosario shook his head at the idea of him taking the bed. "No. Either I sleep on the floor, or we share. I'm the guest, and not a very important one. Just, you know? Promise you wont tell Arcelio where I am if he comes looking?" -
For a second, Arcelio blinked when the phone started with the monotone beep, thinking that Charlie had hung up on him. Then, the flew out, and Arcelio was a second away from fainting when he managed to drop the phone and turn around. Technically, this put the front door right in front of him, but his vision was beginning to wiggle a little. The combination of not having eaten anything yet, blood loss, and most of a beer made him stumble over his own feet when he turned, and he ended up on his butt, back pressed against the cabinets. He was staring not at Archer, or the little blonde angel, but at Rayson. He threw the pen in his hand at him, glaring at him from the floor.
Drake pursed his lips, clicking his tongue. "We'll have to discuss that. I can't let you sleep on the floor. For now, let's get your mind off of things. Do you want some food?" He asked, already walking towards the kitchen as he did so.
