"They tend to do that. Did I tell you my little sister started fifth grade the other day, and she's already been sent home for biting the other kids?"
-
(I love how much of a freakin housewife Arcelio is now
He's like
"Where are my babies" "Must call my babies" "Need my hubby" "Angel is sleepy okay Angel needs sleepy" "Got to tell other people about my babies and my hubby because I love them")
"Biting! That's no good, but I'm sure she'll get over it." He sighed a little, but he wasn't sad. In fact, talking to someone who wasn't constantly stressed over life and death matters was great. "Did Danny tell you Ray proposed at dinner the other night? I'm sure we'll want you at the wedding." -
(Yes, yes he is omg he's so adorbs)
"She's a case, that's for sure," Allen laughed, and then his tone went serious. "Yeah, he told me. I'm happy for you, Arcelio. Of course I'll come. I have to go now, though. He's waking up, so I'm gonna make him some soup. I'll have him call you soon, alright?" -
Arcelio frowned a little when Allen started to sound a little sour, but he brushed it off. "Alright. You do that. I'll talk to you two later, bye." He hung up, setting the cell next to him on the bed.
-
Charlie was holding a bowl of soup out to Arcelio, sighing. "You're lucky, you know? To still have them. More than lucky. Family is the only good thing in this s--- place of a world."
-
Arcelio took the bowl, setting it in his lap. He patted the spot next to him on the edge of the bed, offering it to Charlie. "I've lost my family before, when I first met Ray. And then I thought I lost it again when we all thought Ro was gone. And now, I don't want to lose it again."
-
Charlie sat down, keeping his eyes on Angel, until he put his elbows on his knees, hiding his face in his hands. "I was with him for a bit, you know. Rayson. And then he took off, and left me for Victory. I don't blame him, I would have gone after her had it been different. But, anyways, I was with one of the other guys in the picture you saw. Alexander. He was wonderful.. And, we had a house, and jobs, and a stable life.. And two little girls. Two sweet, sweet, little girls. One was seven, one was five. And then I got mixed up with Archer, and.. He killed them. Alexander, and my girls. But he didn't kill me. I wish he had."
-
((R u lurkin bby)
Arcelio listened, then sighed after a minute. "Archer's just a really sick guy. He doesn't have a heart for anyone, really, he just wants... Physical pleasure." He censored himself slightly, in case Angel was listening at all. "I thought we were rid of him ages ago. I wish I was right."
(omg you know what) -
(cries no I had to get off at ten thirty, but I was up till two bc I couldn't sleep)
"It's not just that. He wants to get even. We.. Me, Rayson, Janelle, Alexander and Tate- Those were the two other boys in the picture- We were younger, fresh out of training, and Archer had finished with us, though he was a few years ahead. Kind of a leader. Someone to look up to. Anyways. We all worked together on jobs, the six of us, for a bit. And then one night, Archer brings this little kid along, one of the ones born into it, like him. His little brother. Well, the job went south, and cops showed up, and there was a problem, and Rayson ended up flipping out, and a gun went off, and then Archer was screaming, and," Charlie inhaled, shaking his head, his eyes glued onto the floor. "His parents committed suicide that year, along with his two sisters. Janelle turned to the medical wing. Tate left, and never showed back up. Rayson moved to solo jobs. He couldn't accidentally shot anyone if he was working alone, after all. Alexander and I stayed with Archer, though. We watched him turn cold. All the funerals, the deaths, I wouldn't have been surprised if he broke. But he never cried. He just made promises. Promises to ruin our happiness, just as we had ruined his. And after Rayson and Victory got Ro taken from them, and Vic got killed, I took off with Alexander. I thought we would be safe if we got away from it all. I was wrong."
(what
and also there, there's why Archer hates them so much) -
-
(Eee I hope my replies are okay I feel insufficient)
Arcelio had to admit, he'd always been a terrible person to talk to. He was a great listener, but if it was replies you were looking for, he didn't have them. "It's terrible. The whole thing's terrible."
(oh idk
weird 4 am me thought it would be crazy if Arcelio accidentally got shot by Rayson again because Charlie was hitting on Arcelio??? something was wrong with me) -
(You're fine bby)
Charlie nodded, knotting his hands together. "It was. Rayson killed his little brother, and, as a chain reaction, his whole family. All he has, I suppose, is physical pleasure."
(yes just yes) -
Arcelio looked over at Charlie, and as a form of comfort for the distressed looking man, he set a hand on his shoulder. "I really hope you do alright, Charlie. Even though what's happened has happened, you seem like a genuinely good guy and you shouldn't let this stuff make you like him."
(oh lord) -
"I'm not like him. Archer's lost his sense of humanity. I still have mine. Because I know first hand that.. That things like her," He motioned at Angel, giving Arcelio a sad smile, "Still exist."
-
"That's good. I'm glad." Arcelio took his hand off of Charlie's shoulder, and went to eating the soup he'd been given.
