Sebastian growled lowly at the chimera, he tried to get up quickly, but almost fell over when he got to his feet. He glanced at Maria. "Run now Maria...I-I can handle this. " the beast started to circle around him carefully, waiting for a opening.
-
"I'm not leaving you." She said stubbornly, pushing herself to her feet. She grasped a large stuck in one hand, and though she doubted it would do much damage, it might distract the beast long enough for them to get away. She loved protectively in front of him. "You're hurt, you should go. I'll be right behind you."
-
He shook his head. "I said go Maria this thing can kill you and I couldn't live with that guilt." The chimera saw it's chance and lunged at him. Sebastian turned quickly and rammed the beast down. He held it down, but it started struggling. "Maria get back to the house now!" He winced and tried to ignore the pain.
-
Maria took a step back, but hesitated. "You think I could live with the guilt if you got killed? I want to help." She protested. There had to be something she could do...anything...
-
"I said go now! I can't hold this thing down for much longer! I'll be fine please...go back to the house." He glanced at her and smiled. The chimera roared and tried to swipe at him. He ducked and kept holding it down.
-
Maria slowly backed away, feeling utterly useless. "Okay," She whispered, before turning and running towards the house. If she could find a phone, maybe call for help, so something, instead sitting and waiting for him to be killed... She couldn't stand the thought of him dying to protect her. She gasped softly as she ran, remembering that he was already wounded and weak. How long would he last? She shook the thought away and sprinted towards the house.
-
He snarled and threw the chimera into a tree. He then ran as fast as he could. He couldn't fight the thing while he was injured and he was bleeding terribly. He saw that Maria was almost to the manor...and the circle. He smiled and heard a roar behind him. He cursed and kept running. "Maria! If you get past the stones youre okay!"
-
She heard his voice behind her and it made her want to cry for joy. He was close enough that she could hear him, that was good. Her feet flew over the ground as she got closer and closer to the ring of stones around the manor. With a heavy sigh of relief she crossed over, but immediately began to panic again. Sebastian wasn't safe yet. She turned to see him running after her; he was still bleeding heavily. "Come on!" She urged.
-
He was only a few feet away when he heard something running. He ran quicker and got past the stones, falling to the ground. The chimera charged, but slammed into an invisible wall. He sighed in relief.
-
Maria mimicked his sigh of relief and ran to his side, helping him up. She threw his arm around her shoulders for him to lean on as she slowly walked towards the manor door. "Where are your medical supplies?" She asked.
-
He staggered a bit to manor door, even with her support. He thought for a moment and sighed. "I-In the guest room near my bedroom. It has all the supplies you'll need. I don't get hurt a lot, but I guess I was smart to keep it." He chuckled and winced.
-
She nodded and helped him up to the guest room. She let him down on the bed and anxiously ran a hand through her hair. Maria peered into one of the cabinets and pulled out a basket of assorted medical supplies. She took out a roll of gauze and some disinfectant and approached him slowly. "Let me see your chest."
-
He sat up slowly and winced. He unbuttoned his uniform and tried to slip it off. He cried in pain and stopped. His left hand was bleeding terribly and still had bits of glass in it.
-
Maria bit her lip and leaned in, slipping his shirt off for him, minding his injured hand. "Maybe I should take care of that first." She sat on the bed next to him, gingerly taking his hand in hers. "Glass," She murmured, thinking of the window. "Sorry, this'll hurt." She sounded regretful as she carefully dabbed at the wound with the disinfectant, gently ridding the wound of glass bits.
-
He growled lowly and bit his lip. "Just hurry up, please..." he looked in extreme pain. He hated medicine and doctors.
