"No, I couldn't have!" She exclaimed, raising her voice without really meaning to. "You think I could just stay there, while you're alone here going through hell?" She shook her head again. "I couldn't do that to you. I couldn't."
-
He growled and jumped at her, pinning her to the ground. "Why do you care?! I'm a monster remember?! You hate monsters and wished they were dead, just like the rest of humanity does!" His eyes had changed from their brilliant blue to a purple color.
-
Maria cried out as he pinned her down. She tried to roll him off, but he was a lot stronger than her. She noticed the change in his eyes and took a shaky breath. "Sebastian," She stopped struggling and tried to stay calm. "This isn't you. Please," She begged. "Let go of me."
-
He laughed coldly. "This is me Maria, don't you understand? You want me to be that evil police chief everyone makes me out to be! Then you'll go around and stab me in the back with a silver knife and be happy that you're rid of that seal!" He glared down at her and tightened his grip on her wrist.
-
She bit her lip and winced as he dug his fingers into her wrists. "Please stop," She whimpered. "I-I wouldn't d-do that to you." Maria promised, although she feared her words would fall on deaf ears.
-
He snarled. "Liar!" He removed one of his hands and raised it to hit her when he felt something pull him back to normal, his blue eyes filled with regret, pain, and sadness. "M-maria." He got off of her and scrambled away again, to the open bathroom door, slipping in he slammed it shut.
-
Maria lay there in shock, trembling. Her wrists ached, and her heart was pounding. He had been going to hit her again. He was going to hit her again. She rolled onto her side and brought her hand up to her face in a weak attempt to muffle her sobbing. She thought about going to him but something told her that it wouldn't do any good right now.
-
Sebastian looked at himself in the mirror and saw a monster, she was right. The Night Clans were monsters that needed to be exterminated. He saw the window and slammed his hand through it, causing a loud crash and a scream to escape from his throat. He pulled out the glass that was still in the window and tried to get out without hurting himself, but he caused more wounds onto his chest, causing him to scream in pain again.
-
Maria shot to her feet and pounded on the door frantically. "Sebastian! Open the door!" She could hear his screams of pain and felt panic rising inside her. "Sebastian!"
-
He finally got out and the whole manor became silent. He slid down the room and onto the ground, wincing when he felt the pain shoot through him. He started to walk slowly away from the manor, leaving a trail of blood behind him.
-
Maria heard his screaming cease and realized he must've gotten out another way.
Never go outside without me.
She figured this was an exception. Whatever was out there wasn't important right now. Maria had to find him. She shot downstairs, running out the door and circling the manor to his window. The glass was broken and streaked with crimson. She followed the trail with her eyes down till it hit the ground. Without hesitation, Maria set off quickly after Sebastian. He was injured and frightened, there was no telling what could happen to him if he was out on his own.
Gtg, sorry, but I'm exhausted. Be on tomorrow, bye!) -
Sebastian kept walking, his vision was getting wore because of the blood loss. he couldn't smell anything other than his blood, but he knew something was out there. He jumped at every noise and whined lowly. everything hurt and he just...wanted to sleep. he shook the thought of sleep from his head and kept walking. He had to keep her safe from himself. Soon he crumpled to the ground and started to breath shallower.
Something sat in wait, its fangs dripping posion onto the ground. The beast whas a chimera and a hungry one at that. it waited patiently for the creature that was on the ground to die.
Its okay. night chick.) -
After a lot of panicked running and a few wrong turns, Maria stumbled forward, his collapsed form coming into view. She gasped, dropping to his side. Blood covered his body and she could see a wound on his chest. His breathing was dangerously shallow. Maria reached out a gingerly stroked his cheek with her fingers. She had to get him home somehow, she needed to bandage his wounds. It was clear he'd already lost an unhealthy amount of blood.
-
Sebastian whined lowly and looked at her, he was still conscious after his giant lose of blood. He nuzzled her hand absent mindedly and sighed. He was happy she was there, a little bit scared. He turned his head quickly when he heard a twig snap loudly. The chimera that was watching him stalked out the the shadows he was hiding in and growled lowly. Roaring loudly, the lion head on the beast dripped poison from it's maw. The thing looked hungry.
-
Maria froze, grasping his hand in hers. She couldn't seem to tear her eyes from the monstrous beast looming above then. She slid her other arm, under Sebastian's back, slowly trying to help him sit up. Maria had feeling the monster wouldn't appreciate any sudden movements, so maybe if they got away slowly it would leave then alone... In the back of her mind, she knew it was just wishful thinking though. Sebastian was bleeding out in front of her, and even if he could get up and run there was no way they'd be faster than the lion-headed beast. Maria couldn't do much to protect him either. She was only human, incapable of fighting it off on her own.
