Maria quickly picked up the phone. "Hello?" She smiled at Sadie and held the phone to her ear with one hand, using the other to pull out the ingredients for pancakes.

Will's voice appeared on the other end. "Maria um hey Brenda is a bit sick so...she's calling in today. I'll come over and check on the baby." She soundeda bit hesitant on saying Brenda was sick. Sadie watched her curiously.

Maria frowned. "Really? Is she okay?" Will sounded almost hesitant. Maria started to mix the pancake batter.

Will quickly sputtered something out. "She's alright just a cold, just a cold she'll be back in a week. I'll be at your manor in a few hours." She hung up quickly.
Sadie tilted her head. "Something wrong mom...?" -
Maria shook her head and placed the phone down. "Nothing...a friend of ours will be over in a little while to check on Delilah, that's all." She wondered what was really going on with Brenda. She placed down two plates of pancakes along with a bottle of syrup.

Sadie nodded lightly and sniffed the pancakes on her plate. She grabbed the syrup and covered the pancakes in it. She cut them with a fork and ate hers happily.

"Mm, I like mine with a lot of syrup too." She said, copying Sadie by drowning hers in syrup and starting eat.

Sadie grinned at her, happy that she had something in common with her new mother. She kept eating until all of the food was gone. She picked up the plate and placed it near the sink. She walked to the stairs to her room and stopped, waving at the air for a moment and then walking up the stairs.

Maria watched her curiously and finished her own breakfast. She set the dishes in the sink and cleaned them off along with Sadie's dishes and put them all away.

Sadie came down wearing the black and white dress she saw the other day with a pair of black mary janes. She smiled at Maria, a bit of her hair getting in her eyes a bit.

Maria smiled back at her. "You look beautiful." She said sincerley. "Do you want to watch some tv or something? I have some cleaning to do..." Maria wanted to cover for Brenda while she was sick.

Sadie blushed lightly. "I-I want to help.." the boys came in the door and waved at Maria, but the youngest glanced at Sadie and waved at her. She smiled at him and waved back.

Maria nodded. "Sure, if you want to you can help me." She said with a little smile. She grabbed a broom and handed a small duster to Sadie. "If you want to stop and do something else just tell me." She said with a smile, starting to sweep.

She took the duster and started to dust some of the areas Maria couldn't get to.
Will arrived at the manor and sighed lightly, walking into the place. She walked into the kitchen and put on a fake smile. -
Maria spotted Will and walked over, frowning lightly. "Hi Will." She wanted to low what was really wrong with Brenda.
