"You can take it for whatever you want." Ginji shrugged, and backed up a bit, keeping his eye on the weirdo.
-
Fall opened his mouth wide, breathing in deeply as he leaned in toward the boy. He still couldn't pick anything up, but at this point, he was ready to settle for proving his own point through brute force.
He tilted his head until he heard a loud pop and flexed his fingers until his claws slid out of the flesh of his fingertips.
Without further warning, he dove at the other guy. -
Ginji, in a split second decision, yowled, an unmistakably cat-like noise.
His form shrunk dramatically, until he became a young lion sized black cat with a white slash on his chest. His blue eyes shone brightly as he hissed and started running toward the direction of the town, fluffy fur bristled on end.
Great. I wasted another transformation. I should've known, stupid stupid. -
Fall broke his assault off for only a second, a quick pause as his eyes widened in surprise. A cat. He was a literal cat. He blinked and grinned, took off sprinting after the boy. He had to beat him there. He had to intercept him.
His eyes, narrowed down to slits and glowing golden, traced every move. He could only hope he wouldn't trip and fall now that he wasn't watching every step he made himself.
He clicked his tongue as he gave chase, snickering to himself.
"Here, kitty kitty kitty kitty. Come back and talk to me." -
Ginji kept to the underbrush, trying to make himself as small and invisible as possible. Why the heck was this guy chasing him?
He then came to the edge of the bushes. It was a straight path to the village entrance, but he was scared to chance it. He lowered himself into the bushes, thinking invisible thoughts. -
Fall came to a skidding halt, scattering dust and nearly tripping over the thick underbrush that had tangled itself around his ankles. He glanced around frantically. How had he managed to lose sight of the cat?
"f---ing ridiculous." he muttered, raking his eyes contemptuously over his surroundings. "Stupid, stupid."
His face darkened. He had to get back to the caravan, had to. No time for this. He opened his mouth again and tried to catch the scent, but the heavy scent of freshly opened greenery covered that of the feline. He stayed quiet and stuck to scanning the bushes for activity. -
Ginji continued being statue still, ears flat against his head. A leaf brushed his nose, and he shuddered, trying to resist the urge to sneeze.
-
Fall continued looking around, keeping his mouth wide open. He breathed in deeply, glaring at the bushes.
"Please come out!" he called, grinning. "I really need to talk to you, kitty-"
The scent hit him very suddenly as the wind changed direction for a mere moment, but it was enough, and he lunged blindly toward the bushes, claws outstretched. -
Ginji yowled again, and backed up quickly, just missing getting attacked. He glared at the other, ears back against his head, lips drawn back in a snarl.
He hissed, fur bristled like a black cat on Halloween. -
Fall glanced over as he landed, a bit startled by the cat's change in position. He quickly gained control of his thoughts, however, landing heavily and spinning on his hands to face him and pounce again.
-
Ginji, annoyed with running, reached out and slashed his claws at his attacker's face, prepared to dig in and rip if necessary.
-
Fall was cut flinched back from the claws only long enough to snarl a loud profanity and jump at the cat again, hands outstretched to guard his face and grab at the boy. He felt his teeth ready to break as he gritted and bit down hard on them.
-
Ginji attempted to back up, but snagged his leg on a root of the bush, yowling in annoyance, he turned to bite at the root. He was still growling low in his throat, in a failing attempt to scare his attacker off.
-
Fall sneered as he barreled into the cat, tearing him free from the root- not sure whether or not that snap was the root or the leg, but it doesn't really matter; it's not his leg- and landed heavily atop him. He wasn't sure how much pressure he could apply to the cat's legs without breaking them all, so he wrapped his hands around either set of legs in a very awkward attempt to restrain him.
-
Ginji yowled, flailing in an attempt to get loose. He knew he was going to lose, though, unless he somehow managed to shift back to human early, which was as likely as him sprouting wings and flying away from this guy.
What the hell is your problem, goddammit?! Ginji shouted mentally, glaring.
