Looking at her phone she sighed and went back up the steps and got dressed in jeans and a grey hoodie that was slightly baggy. Grabbing her keys she walked out and slid on to the bike. A backpack now nestled on her back as she took off.
-
He started to smooth the edges, sparks flying from themetal as he worked.
-
She slowed down as she hit town limits, knowing they would pull her over just becuase they thought it was funny.
-
He walked out and opened the side gate, then set her another text: Side gate is open, I'm in the shop in the back.
-
Her phone buzzed and she shot it a quick glance before pulling into the side gate and killing the engine. Pulling off her helmet she looked around and slowly got up.
-
He barely heard this as he polished the metal to a nearly reflective sheen.
-
She shied back away from the loud noise that assaulted her ears. She wasn't to big on things like this. She akwardly stood around and shied closer.
-
After a minute, he shut the buffer off and backed off to look at it.
-
Once it was off she crept forward again. She looked like a hesitant dog. "Hello?" She called.
-
He heard something, and took out his earplugs and glasses, "Ally?" he called back, sticking his head out the door.
-
She had her hood up and her hands holding onto the back bag straps. "Hey.." She said quietly and tilted her head.
-
He motioned inside, "want to see it? I'm pretty much done."
-
"Just.. Please don't start up the thing again." She slowly walked toward him and brushed past him. Her should against his arm.
-
He nodded, then stood aside to let her pass. It was lying on a table in the middle, lit up by large work lights. "What do you think?" he whispered, looking at her.
-
She slid closer and picked the shield up in her hands. Tilting her head she tilted it around back and forth. "I like it. Can we sit outside so I can paint? I'm more relaxed." She shrugged and looked up at him.
