Before he could dress it she shrank away and gritted her teeth. It healed but it felt like forever. Flexing her newly healed muscle her eyes dimmed. "Thanks..."

He looked up at her, "no problem," he whispered, taking his bloody gloves off.

She looked up at him an met his eyes and.. Her eyes went normal in a flash as did her teeth.

"I'm not going to tell anybody, of course," Michael promised. "I'm more worried about you ripping me to shreds than anything."

Suddenly she explored and used both hands to in a girly way pub his chest making him fall backwards. "Your an idiot!" She yelled. "Now you will die because you know! Humans always die once they find out!"

He was stunned into inaction, "I'm not going to breathe a word about it," he whispered, "I've come close to death before. So far it's Me one and death zero." he said, reminded of the nightmare. "I know it's weird, but thank you for distracting me."

She slammed her hand into the ground with a soft thud. "Your so stupid.. An idiot.. I just want to hit you so bad right now.." She groaned and sucked in a breath to calm herself but it wasn't quit working.

"Then do it," he told her. Looking right into her eyes, knowing she could lay him out, but wondering if she had the will to do so.

She threw her hands up. "I can't! I'd hurt you and I don't want to hurt you because there's something about you an-" she cut herself off and looked away, blushing.

He raised an eyebrow, just looking at her. "What?"

"Just go away." She muttered and felt blood bloom in her mouth and she realized she was chewing on her lip.

He nodded and sighed, then stood and padded away from her. Back at his home, he lay in bed, awake.

She watched him walk away and wanted to follow. She didn't want to be alone. Standing up she shoved her hands into her pockets and walked home.

He couldn't help but look outside, watching for the brilliant golden eyes somewhere past the trees. But he had no luck, and fell right back into his nightmare.

Once at home she didn't sleep. Instead she listened to her parents quiet breathing and thought about the one person who made her feel normal.
