She shut the back door and got in the driver's seat.

The blonde pursed his lips. "Well, then..." He murmured and got in on his own side, leaning on the door and looking out the window like the first night they left.

"Well, copilot, promise me you'll trust that everything will work out with getting Kayle?" She was entirely serious.

"If you're asking if I trust you, I do." He told her firmly"

"Not me. Do you trust that everything will work out?" she asked.

"You're asking if I basically believe in fate. Whatever happens, happens. We'll just have to do our best to control the situation."

She sighed, and smiled a bit. "Alright."

"I think we'll be able to get through everything just fine."

"I hope so." And for the next half an hour, they drove along in somewhat silence.

Zander had grown used to the modern music, but would still prefer the classical works. So as they sat in silence, he simply listened to the music in the background.

She was worried about her cousin, mostly. She didn't value the relationship she shared with her uncle as greatly as the one she shared with the sister she'd never had.

The vampire looked at his love interest and hummed. She seemed a bit bothered by something. "I'll take care of everything.."

"Hell no. I'm not letting you run in there alone. Definitely not. I'll go in, and distract them. They're expecting me." She shook her head. "Nope, you're not going in alone."

"I never said I'd go alone. Just that I'd take care of the messy bits."

"I'm helping with that, too." She was completely serious.
