"I didn't... I didn't say anything. But alright. I'm not, on purpose." The kiss was strange, but not unpleasant. She was used to lips being warm.

"...I need to eat soon. And you'll probably want to as well. We should stop somewhere since we're a woodland area." He peered out the window and hummed. "You can get some dinner in a diner and I'll find a beast to drink from then meet you."

She nodded. "Sounds good. By the way, what would the food that I eat taste like to you?"

"The same unless it's really spicy or garlic. Then it burns and makes me sick."

"Interesting." She made a note of that. Nothing spicy or garlicy for... a while.

He nodded and smiled. "So don't try to kill me now."

"I'd never do that." She was smiling, but it was sincere.

"I know. I trust you, Anna." The vampire relaxed in his seat and watched out the window for a place to stop.

"I trust you, too." They drove for another twenty minutes or so, until she found a good place to stop. -

He slowly let go of her hand. "I'll be back in a bit. Call for me if you need me." Zander got out of the car and hurried off to find something to eat. -

She watched him go and waited patiently for his return. -
Like before, it was rather difficult to find large game, but he managed to find a doe off on her own. Zander drained the creature in no time relieved to have a larger meal. "So much better.." He wiped his mouth and looked around for anything else.

She drummed her fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the song on the radio.

Once he felt full, Zander hurried back to the car. He noticed that Anna had been waiting in the car and tilted his head at her curiously. She could've gone in to eat instead of sitting there.

She didn't want to drive off until he was back. There wasn't a restaurant in walking distance, really.
