He immediately looked at her when the faint scent of blood tickled his nose. He would never bite her, he had that much control, but he still shot over and held her face with one hand.

Her eyes widened. "Uh, Zander, no, um... don't..." She tried to pull away. The logical part of her said that it was best to get away, but the rest of her doubted he'd actually hurt her.

"Trust.." He mumbled and focused on the small tear in her lip. He stuck out his tongue out and ran it over the spec of blood.

"Stop," she breathed, not trying to pull away as much but still bothered.

Once the blood stopped, so did he. He pulled back, embarrassed. "..Sorry..I didn't mean to bother you...It was just there."

"It's... um... It was just awkward for me." She wiped off her lip and turned toward the steering wheel.

"I apologize. Why don't you eat and I'll take off to find something to eat for myself?" He told her as he went to open the door.

"Alright... be back soon though, please?" she murmured. She didn't look over at him.

"I'll head back in twenty minutes if I can't find anything." He told her as he left the vehicle, heading for any place that has animals.

She watched him walk off, then shut off the radio. She sat in silence for a moment, then eventually grabbed the food from the back seat.

It was difficult for Zander to find anything decent to eat. "Everything's either asleep or ridiculously small....Damn.." He grumbled as he snatched up anything that came by.

Once he'd finally filled up on small creatures, mostly rodents, he made sure no blood was left around his mouth as he began to head back to Anna. -

When Anna finished eating, she got out to throw away her trash. -

The ancient decided he'd try to sleep just for the relaxation and fun of it.
