Zander sighed and looked up, thinking of a word or phrase. "Quid agis?" He said slowly to make sure he pronounced it correctly.

She grinned. "I recognize that one! Um... valeo."

"Ah..I take it you know a bit yourself then?"

My two best rl friends are taking Latin at school so I pick up a little from them, just like they pick up asl from me.
"Just a little. I'm nowhere near fluent." -
...I take Spanish. xD
"I see. But at least it's good to understand the gist of what someone is saying." -
So do I. But I teach myself to sign in my free time.
She nodded. "It is. Since I understand, though, I'd love if you taught me more." -
I learn Korean when I get the feels to do so.
"If you don't mind me coming around after everything's taken care of. I have to teach you to fight first." -
I would sign you something... But I can't because computer. Oh hey, do you think fantrolls are stupid?
"Oh, right. That's most important." She'd totally forgotten. -
Depends on how their made. I hate seeing fantroll with troll pairings though. :B
"Yes. If I get staked or anything, I'm relying on you. So I figure I should teach you some of the things I've learned over the years." -
Canon is always off-limits. If I make one, will you tell me if it's stupid? oh look fluffy potato beast on my floor
She nodded. "Please do. -
I trust you not to make it outrageous or a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. But yes, I will offer my criticism if that's what you'd like.
"Just let me know when you wan to stop somewhere to learn a few things." -
I tried once... I was told my character was actually unique in a good way. :/
"I'm good driving for another few hours, then we can stop." She reached over and took his hand in hers gently. "Remember earlier when you suggested we talk about, the uh, the bridge? Can we?" -
That sounds good.
Zander looked down at their entwined hands then back up at her and nodded. "Of course, if it's what you want to discuss." He didn't mind when Anna held his hand, simply because she was warm. -
It was actually kind of infuriating.
"Thank you. So... um... I told you I had a brother, right?" Zander's hand was pretty cold, but it didn't bother Anna.
