"Would you really deny a youthful man who could make your life much more interesting?"
-
"What happens to Kayle or whatever his name is? If you marry me, that is, which you won't. Does he live with us or does he get his own kidnapped human bride?" They were pretty close to the bridge.
-
"I'm sure we can find a nice castle somewhere..." He stuck his tongue out in disgust as he 'joked' about the stereotype. "Kayle is so picky. He sits there and judges and tries to find the 'perfect woman..I guess he has all of eternity to do that."
-
"Oh, you don't already have one? You aren't Count Cruorem? That's a disappointment." She looked over at him. "I'm sure if anything ever happened that I could find him someone."
-
"Count Cruorem? Nah, I don't like that sound." Zander smiled when she mentioned that she'd help play match maker for his sibling. "Good luck with that, princess."
-
"I won't be a princess, maybe a countess though. Countess Anna Cruorem?" she suggested, kidding of course.
-
"...My name sounds a bit strange coming after yours." He chuckled lightly, but was in fact quite embarrassed inside. He admitted that the name set had a slight ring to it. "But yes, a countess. I don't know if bearing children is possible though...I'll definitely have to test that at some point in my existence."
-
"Especially since you've known me for about a day. I think that might be awkward, because uh..." She didn't really want to talk about it, but if he didn't have blood, he probably couldn't... She was saved by the bridge, and reached over to grab his hand.
-
Zander averted looking at her when his hand was grabbed, feeling a bit of a squeeze. "You really don't like bridges, huh? I can feel your pulse racing.."
-
"No, I... I don't." Fortunately it wasn't the longest bridge, but it always felt like an eternity for her to cross it.
-
"Why don't you like them? I happen to love standing on a bridge, looking over the water below to see the reflection of the moon and stars on a warm summer night." He sighed contently as he remembered his adventures.
-
"I don't... want to talk about it..." Anna's grip tightened on his hand.
-
"Sometimes it helps to talk about things. I'm surprised you can hold my hand for so long. Aren't you cold by now?"
-
Anna shook her head. "It doesn't bother me, really." They managed to get off the bridge and she let go, realizing how tightly she'd been holding on.
-
He knew she was trying to avoid any conversation about her phobia of bridges, but he didn't bother to insist. The vampire just leaned on the armrest and watched the road ahead of them.
