Jake hugged her tight to him, to keep her from shaking.

Her hand curled into his shirt without her noticing. She closed her eyes and rested her head on his chest while trying to calm herself.

He climbed up into the aircraft, which took off quickly, flying east, hoping to cross back into American territory within an hour.

She started to fall asleep but clung to him. Her tail was starting to dry but she didn't care. Haunts and faces and needles played in her head so she opened her eyes and fought sleep.

Jake saw this, and rolled up his sleeve. The bracelet she'd gave him was still there. "I never stopped thinking about you," he admitted.

She lifted the braclet into her hands, her fingers gentle. "When did you notice I was gone?" She asked quietly.

"Two days," he said. "I thought you were busy, or didn't want to see me."

A faint smile played across her lips. "I almost didn't. Before they grabbed me I was so angry and hurt.." Sighs quietly. "Instead, I let it go because I thought I was going to die. I didn't want to die with hate in my heart."

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "Thats about when I was... Recruited."

"How did you find me?" Tilts head slightly as she started to play with the bracket absentmindedly.

"I was sent to investigate the facility," he said, "Russian experimental station."

She sighed and found her eyes dropping to a close once more. "I'm sorry you had to go back. I know you'd rather be done with this all." Sighs softly.

"If I knew you had been in danger, I would have found and come for you," he told her. "I don't mind going back, but I have to leave."

She shivered, cold. "Hm. Well you have fun with that. I'm sure they are disappointed to lose such a warrior as yourself." Yawns softly.

"No, once I take you home, I probably won't see you again," he whispered sadly. "I'll have a new op to run."
