Jake walked to her, taking out a small syringe. "Painkiller," he explained, "can I give it to you?"

She didn't even reply. The voice sounded familiar but she was so locked away in her own head that she couldn't place it quite yet. Instead she just shrugged.

He quickly injected her in the arm with it, numbing her pain quickly. Jake gingerly picked her up, and walked out of the cell, stepping over bodies and pools of blood.

Vivian just slumped in his arms still having no clue of whom it was. Alls she knew was her pain was gone causing her whole body to feel numb. "Death is like a sweet embrace." She sited from one of her old poems she had read and loved.

"You're not dead," he whispered. Jake carried her out, and hit a button to call for a rescue helicopter.

"I should be." She said simple and slowly opened her eyes slightly. God.. She was so tired and hungry. She laid her arms over her chest and rested her head on his arm. "Who are you..?" She asked quietly.

He tugged the balacava down, and depolorized his glasses, revealing his eyes.

"Jake...?" She whispered looking at him in great confusion and a small light of hope flickered in her dark eyes.

He nodded, as the whomping of a helicopter filled the air. "I'll take you home," he promised.

Tears started to slip from her eyes as she buried her face into his chest. "Oh my god.. Jake the things.. The things.." She squeezed her eyes shut holding onto him with what she had left.

"You don't have to worry about them," he whispered. "Ever again."

"Water." She whispers hoarsely. "I need the ocean.. It will heal." She tried to think through her fogged up mind.

He knew the chopper was a few minutes out, so he went over and gently lowered her into the ice cold water.

"Close your eyes." She whispered and gentle using her unbroken hand closed his kids before closing her own and letting the sweet lure of the water take her. At first, nothing happened as she sank towards the bottom her hair floating up around her. A white hand wrapped around her wrist and pulled her into it's arms. A ghostly form smiled down at her, a copy of Vivian but older and a flash of dark blue seemed to ripple over Vivian as a lone whale started a song for all to hear.

Jake kept his eyes closed, listening.
