Vivian sighed and watched the humans walk along the beach. "If only.." She sighed dreamily and looked around. She narrowed her eyes as a flash of silver was caught by her quick eye. "Shoo." She said looking down at a great white shark that was swimming near shore. It rumbled and slipped away. Vivian slid under water and slowly swam towards the ship. -
Jake sat on the edge of the boat, rocking on tiny swells above the SS Normandy, a wreckage never explored. He made a final check: Tanks, respirator, flippers, knife. All green. Some of the others had seen his scars, but he didn't care. With a simple nod, he pushed himself into the water.

Vivian frowned as she saw a splash. Humans. She frowned and swam quicker before reaching the sunken boat. She slid inside an open door and watched a diver get closer to her spot. They came her often, but a lot of the time the sharks got them before she could do anything. Right on cue, a very scarred great white slid out from a huge hole in the boats bottom. She shivered and watched.

Shark, his mind whispered. Jake spun to face the threat, tugging out a 10 inch gleaming silver knife. He realized it was too close. Sucking down one last breath, he disconnected the air tank, using it as a jet to rocket down into cover. However, Jake was too far down.

Vivian gasped and dived down after him not really noticing what she was doing. Instict took over as she grabbed his arm with one hand and tank with the other. The shark swam closer and she glared at it. "Shoo! Get out of here Zerk." The shark seemed to pout like a dog but swam away as she had said to do.

Jake tried in vain to reconnect it, but failed, and began to black out. Water entered his lungs as he... Blacked out completly.

Vivian cursed and swam towards the surface. Breaking the surface she swam towards a hidden cave near shore. Swimming under the walls she came back up in a sandy cavern with a hole in the top. Laying him down on the shore she bent over to to inspect him. "Oh wow." Pokes his face.

Jake was out cold, still clutching his knife. As consiousness returned, his first thought was, I'm still alive. as he twitched.

Vivian flinched back before peeing at him again. "You alive?" Tilts head and pokes him again.

He let out a groan, and coughed up water, rolling to the side towards the voice. "Who are you?" he asked, blinking water out of his eyes.

"The lovely lady who saved your life." Her tail was hidden from his view at the moment unles he sat up and fully looked at her.

"What happened?" he wondered. He should have died, again.

She started to mess with his mouth clearly awed on how they were so familer yet completly different. "You were swimming towards the ship and tried to get away from a shark, lost your breathing thingy and then passed out. So, I saved you." She said happily.
(She dosent know she can go on land yet.) -
Jake sat up, returning his knife to its sheath. "Thank you." he looked into her eyes. "I should have died... Again."

She blinked clearly startled and went to move away but her tail flopped loudly against the water and her eyes went wide. "Your welcome." She said quietly not taking her eyes from his.
