After Earth

*screen flickers and then boots up* Welcome. Earth as we know is destroyed. Nature has taken over and not any or few human structures are left at all. Animals have grown and evolved. Everything you know? Forget it. This is the jungle after all. Humans now live in space among air crafts and Mars. Warriors are being trained to maybe one day inhabit other planets. They are called the Rangers. I am sending you (however many join me), to go to Earth. Good luck. May you find all humanity before it's loss.
So, you can create your character. We also can have alien species or unknown species on Earth. Feel free to make one. Also if you do, explain it out more just in case other people wish to make one like yours. Here's a few species:
Humans: Well if you can't tell then you might not be one. Humans are just simply humans~
Lizord: Lizard like people. May look pure reptilian and have human traits. Or it might be simple half human an half lizard with few scales or reptile eyes. They commonly use or love fire. A smart race these are. Sometimes control fire.
Catannas: A neko or cat-human race. Smart and quick. May or may not have fur all over body or just cat ears and tail. Agile but not too strong. Hates water.

Height and Weight: 5'5 and 145
Looks: Waist length dark crimson hair, silky and thin. Mostly in a pony tail or braid. Almond shape blue/brown eyes. They change color and sometimes look stormy flecked with blue.
Wears: Smart Suit. A skin tight suit that has some protection and changes colors. When she's not in armor she wears a mix of jeans and shirts.
Weapons: Two pistols slung at each hip, a short cylinder with buttons that changes different blades. Length and shape. -

Looks: Dark red wavy hair that just about reaches her ears, bright green almond shaped eyes, freckles lightly dusting nose. On left shoulder has a tattoo of a feather.
Weapons: Arrow and bow, occasionally uses scythe or gun.
Wears: Kaki shorts, dark green tanktop, combat boots

Species: Neko
Looks: Large black cat ears and an elegant tail, messy dark hair that almost covers eyes. Large blue eyes.

Looks: White cat ears, mid length golden brown wavy hair, stunning green cat-like eyes, white cat tail, pointed cat's canine teeth
Weapons: Can cause nails to grow into claws
Wears: grey skirt, pale green tank top (which she found in an empty house), bare feet -

Height and weight: 5'0 and 167 lbs
Looks: Stocky and well toned, with brown skin. Is actually bald beneath her commander hat, but wouldn't admit or show that.
Weapons: Claws and fire are well and good, but humans didn't dominate earth through strength alone. For that reason, Tresdon carries around a standard issue ranger rifle, with appropriate side arms.
Wears: Her commander hat and standard issue ranger uniform, with camouflage augmentations. -

Hair: Black, reaches her shoulders, short and feathery.
Eyes: Silvery gray, with reptilian pupils
Looks: Pale skin, tall, with scattered sprays of silver scales over her skin. There is a patch of scales that runs down the right side of her face, over her eye. Her entire left arm is reptilian, complete with four-clawed hand. She is tall and average weight.
Wears: Black long-sleeve skintight suit, with black boots. She also always wears a necklace given to her by her dead mother (her parents are deceased), a silver chain with a jade green sphere pendant.
Weapon: She can conjure fire with her lizard hand, and can breath a small amount of fire, but she prefers to fight with her claws. -

Commander Tresdon stood on the bridge of the mighty 'Laika,' one of the last air crafts ever launched. Metal both centuries old and literally days new creaked above her head as she stared down at the planet below. Earth. The ancient home of her people. No records exist as to what happened down there, on the surface, only that it was terrible enough to drive an entire race to space.
She felt small in stature and rank before the planet. It was hard to believe that out of all the rangers, it would be her legion that returned. The first humans to set foot on Earth in times uncountable.
Looking down at her watch, Tresdon continued staring at the blue marble. The rest of her trope should be arriving any minute now to join her. -
Sylvia paused at the gate entrance, she was unsure that this was the correct location. The only other being there was a human, older than she was, but still young and healthy. Flexing her silver reptilian hand somewhat nervously, she stepped into the area, her black boots echoing softly on the metal paneled floor.
She paused a few feet away from the human and studied it closely. Obviously female. From afar it might be hard to tell but up close it was clear. The shaven head was...unusual, but long eyelashes and a thin figure gave it away. She followed her gaze down to the swirling orb before them. Earth.
Sylvia had never been to Earth, none of her race ever had, but she had heard stories. However, the tales had contradicted each other so much that it was near impossible to imagine what she might be facing. -
(Before I post, I was wondering... Are the Catannas and Lizords a species on Earth or are they in space? Or are some of them on Earth and others aren't?)
