IHLAOY Newbie(I assumed the Catannas and Lizords were aliens that were discovered when humans went to space.)
A shadow covered the room, originating from the doorway. Tresdon hurried to put her hat back on, confident that whoever had arrived hadn't seen anything. The hauntings of the past were easy to hide once you got used to them.
Turning around, Tresdon's smile dropped as she studied the creature entering the room. She might have passed for a human if the room was dark, though Tresdon didn't have the luxury. She was obviously young from the way her scales didn't connect, and her nervous demeanor was out of place among a ranger.
"Just what I needed. Another 'person.'" Tresdon commented under her breath. "Slyvia Lunara, the people of Mars honour your races bravery. We understand this venture concerns your people little and so your dedication is twice as respected." -
So did I.)
Sylvia nodded, a bit surprised that the human knew her name. "Thank you. My people can be...difficult, when dealing with other species, and I apologize for any trouble you may have experianced." The young Lizord tried not to cringe under the human's demeaning gaze, and attempted to sound official.
But as another second passed, she risked a sideways glance at the entrance where she had come in. It seemed none o the others troops ha arrived yet. -
(Ok. I'll go with that then.)
Katalina walked through a long hallway. She wore uncomfortable black boots on her feet. She'd rather go barefoot, but rules claimed that was not allowed. The minute I get on Earth, I am ditching the boots, Kat thought to herself. On her shoulder she had a bag. The bag held her smart suit. Kat decided she would put it on before they left.
Katalina arrived at the door. She pushed it open and walked inside. In the room there was a human and a lizord. She assumed that the human was who she was meeting, and the lizord was a recruit. Kat's tail swayed a bit. She looked down at the planet visible through the window. The planet she learned that the humans originally were from. Earth.
Katalina had always wanted to go to Earth. But apparently it was inhospitable. That's why the humans no longer lived there. For this reason, Kat tried her hardest to get into the team that would travel to Earth, and here she was. -
IHLAOY NewbieAnother pair of boots clicked across the ground, and Tresdon pulled her attention away from the Lizord. There was another alien entering the room, and Tresdon clicked her lips together. Hopefully her entire legion wasn't going to be comprised of aliens. (This was, of course, wishful thinking; as Tresdon knew exactly who was going to be coming with her. Still, it never hurt to hope for some bureaucratic magic.)
Extending an arm, Tresdon moved closer. "Are you Katalina or Arata?" -
"Katalina." She said, shaking the human's hand. "It's an honor to be here for this expedition." Kat tried not to show how uncomfortable she felt under the human's judgmental glance. Kat glanced at the lizord and smiled kindly.

Sylvia's icy silver eyes stared at the Catanna. She managed a weak nod and a flitting smile, but otherwise made no attempt to greet the new arrival.
Her kind had always managed to stand out among the other species. Her glinting claws or snake-like eyes seemed to unnerve most people, and her pyro kinetic abilities were dangerous and hard to control. If all she was going to do was make her team uncomfortable, than why introduce yourself?
She flexed her claws instinctively, now staring down at the floor. -
IHLAOY Newbie"Commander Tresdon, of the Stonehall aircraft. It's certainly an...honour to have more witness to this occasion." Tresdon replied, speaking slowly. Glancing over at the door, Tresdon silently waited for the rest to show up. Aliens were all well and good, but a good human or two at her back would be ideal.
Looking up at the other rangers, Tresdon raised an eyebrow, "Aren't you two a little young to be rangers?" -
Katalina frowned, a thoughtful look in her eyes. "Maybe. But that didn't stop me from becoming one." Then she walked over to the window. She looked at the planet they would soon be descending onto. It truly was a magnificent planet. Kat felt proud to be part of an expedition like this.

Just realized Inever said how old Sylvia is. I'll say 17.)
The Lizord sighed mentally. Of course she was a bit young. But she had been the only one of her kind who could take part in the expedition. The others either hadn't cared, or hasn't been able to make it through training.
She turned back to the Catanna girl, who really was quite young. Probably around fifteen or sixteen, a year or two younger than her. Her focus switched to the Catanna's snowy white cat ears. It was odd to Sylvia, that these feline creatures had both human and cat ears, but she chose not to question it.
Sighing for real this time, she layed her human hand on the rail, staring intently down at Earth. The safety of the mission was somethin she ha questioned for a long time. Obviously scouting a rogue planet had it's risks, but the team itself was what the young Lizord was wondering about. These people had stuck together three different species, different ages, different personalities, and expected then to work alongside one another. It seemed very unlikely that the group would get along, much less be able to complete the mission. -

A loud beeping filled the room, and Tresdon tapped a button on the side of her watch. Looking over the people gathered, she sighed softly to herself before pushing herself to attention. "It would appear the rest of our...gang is not coming. And while I would love to wait for some more normal people, this expedition cannot be delayed. We had best make our way to the hanger. Our pilot is waiting." -
Katalina remembered something. "Er, one moment!" Then she dashed into a bathroom. She changed into her smart suit. Her smart suit had two pieces, the top and bottoms. Her smart suit was also designed to stay black. Her top was a skin tight tank top made of the smart suit material. The bottoms were skin tight shorts made of the same material. She put a short white skirt over the smart shorts. Then she slipped on white fingerless gloves.
Kat looked down at the black boots. She frowned. But she slipped them on anyways. She would just kick them off later. Being a Catanna, changing only took about a minute or two. She walked back quickly, her bag with her regular clothes on her shoulder. "I apologize for that, I was going to change before we left." -
