IHLAOY NewbieGiving and getting a wave as the two girls left his house, Cutter sighed to himself. He'd noticed Shade had done her best to try and make sense of it, and bit his bottom lip as he considered moving the crosses again, before shaking his head. At least half of those X's were red herrings, and the other half were buried deep enough that he'd know if someone was trying to get into his caches.
Which reminded him. Digging through his room, Cutter pulled out another small, red X, and placed it on the map. This one wasn't a herring though, and he'd need to remember that.
And with everything about the day done, Cutter decided to go to bed. So he did. -
Shade glanced back at Cutter's cabin as the door closed. He was strange, definitely. But something about his personality...it was likeable. Maybe it was his naive innocence or something. But something else said he was dangerous. A threat if not handled correctly. She briefly wondered what kind of things triggered his anger.
Worry about that another time.
"So, Kass, why were the WW4 agents chasing you?" She asked as they neared her cabin. She sidestepped a hole in the ground and looked at the other girl expectantly. -
(Hm.)
-
She thought for a moment. "I-Well the instructors seemed to like me there. They used me for examples and stuff," she paused for a little then continued "But I think they were mainly fascinated with my escapes. So maybe they really need me there, but I'm not going back." she stopped there pushing some hair out of her face.

(Sorry! But if meep or IHLAOY don't post, we probably can't go much further)
"Huh. So you're the determined type?" Shade asked. Kass was radiating memories, but her face showed that 'going back' wasn't an option
Shade liked that; the determination. The fire. She opened the door to her cabin. Only one girl lived with her; and Shade was pretty sure she'd been one of the casualties in the fight beforehand. A pity, really. She hadn't been too bad. -
IHLAOY Newbie(My character is asleep. Outside of a s---ty dream sequence, what can I do?)

(Yeah, just remember to check on this, just in case we need Cutters' charrie.)
"Yeah, I guess you could say 'determined'. Kass said. A smile started to form across her face as the conversation went on. "So it seems someone else stays here?" she asked eyeing the place.
It wasn't necessarily a house, but more like a cottage. A cozy one. Were all of them cozy looking? So far, the two she had seen where seemingly humble. A few stacks of paper here, two twin sized bed over in corners. It all looked pretty average now. -
IHLAOY NewbieCutter was awake long before the sun was. He'd heard the voices again, he needed to wake to greet them. Always chatting, always chuckling; you did get used to them eventually but any degree of white noise is annoying when it blares into your dreams. Cutter couldn't even remember what the dream was. Something with lines and axes and cutting. Cutting and screaming and cutting and falling and cutting and stitching and cutting. Not a good dream, then, but it barely stopped the voices.
He need to draw; he needed his map. Something important was happening, he could feel it. He needed to mark his caches again. And again. Engrave them into the stone of his mind.
Two seconds later the flame caught the map; sending it burning high into the sky. A pale imitation of the fire burning through his veins. The map was gone, he didn't need the map anymore. The time was drawing near, the voices said so, he just needed to be patient, wait a day or two more.
The morning sun crested over the hills as Cutter watched, signalling the dawning of a new day. The beginning of a new era. Any day now, he would be home bound again.
Cutter set off deeper into the rebel camp, starting at the cafeteria.
