IHLAOY Newbie"Shooting?" Cutter asked, looking around again.
There was an awful lot of guns about, and some idiot girl with a sword, but shooting? Nah, there was no shooting happening. After all, if someone was shooting him, wouldn't he feel it? Exactly.
"I don't think there is shooting, I mean, I don't feel any different. Maybe you're just confused?" Cutter pointed out, before changing the subject, "Listen, I can't actually touch this guy, and he's bleeding all over the place, so if you could just...I dunno, figure out where the injury is? That would help me a lot. Plus you could dress it for me too, I have the bandages. No problem, right Shade buddy? -
("Idiot" girl with a sword? e.o)
The numbers of the rebels grew greater as the ww4 agents fell, defeated. Lauren noticed that some of the soldiers were calling some people into retreat, while some stayed. Lauren was puzzled. But she let her guard down to long. A bullet grazed the side of her face. Lauren winced, her side wound was still bleeding and it didn't help that she just almost got killed by another bullet.
Lauren pulled out her crossbow. She shot 5 continuous arrows, all landing on target. 5 agents fell. She sheathed her sword and decided to stay with the bow. -
(I really like Cutter's character. xD)
Shade looked at him. Was this guy for real? "Yeah, there's shooting. Don't you hear the gunshots? Don't you see the people dying? How else did this man right here," She gestured to the bleeding guy on the ground who, at this point, had passed out, "have a bullet wound?"
Without waiting for him to respond, she knelt by the man, located the wound, and extracted the bullet. The man jerked, his eyes flickering open. "There. Just dress the wound and pour alcohol on it or something. But I'm not bandaging that." -
IHLAOY Newbie(Thank you.)
Cutter watched intently, running some theories through his head. Alright, so that popping noise wasn't just in his head this time, it was actually happening. Oh, and that whizzing thing must have been a bullet! Which meant...there was actually a danger to himself. That was...less than preferable. Pursing his lips, Cutter nodded.
"Alright, sorry I got confused. Back on my farm we had these mosquitoes that grew to a foot tall and could really screw a guy up, I figured maybe they'd followed me. Which would explain this mate."
Reaching forward, Cutter tried to dress the wound; but his hands wouldn't let him. He...he couldn't touch. Touching was bad. Biting his lip, Cutter looked around again, before turning back to the man. "Hey listen, mate, I don't suppose you could just...bandage yourself, okay?" The man groaned.
Cutter took this as a yes, and moved on. There were still plenty of people to help. -
She stared at him. "Look, did you actually think that foot tall mosquitos followed you all the way from home?"
But he was already moving on. Shade sighed and looked at the man, who was holding his bleeding side and moaning. "Be still," she muttered, grabbing some of the bandages Cutter had left, "I'll just get it."
She wrapped the poor guy up and called another man forward to help the wounded man into a safe tent. With a sigh, she stood again. The fighting was slowing down, the WW4 agents falling back. -
Lauren noticed that they were falling back into retreat. Lauren shot the last couple people. She heard an agent whisper "I think that's Lauren DeLeetch." She turned, about to pull the trigger on the crossbow and hit the agent who said that, then She stopped. Go ahead and tell them, she thought, Tell them I'm not working for them anymore.
-
IHLAOY NewbieShrugging, Cutter turned back to Shade, "Well, sure it sounds crazy now; but I figured, if the Brackersnap could follow me all the way here, then why couldn't the mosquitoes? That's called deductive reasoning, very important to use."
Turning his back to Shade again, Cutter focused on the next injured person in front of him. -
Kass bit her lip looking around. "I really need to leave." she whispered, tugging on his sleave like a little child. "By the way, I never got your name." she said watching the girls.
-
Lauren grabbed a bandage and wrapped it around her waist. It quickly became stained with blood. She pressed a damp cloth to her face, and went around to help people. She wasn't paying attention though, she was deciding whether or not to tell the rebels she used to work for ww4. She didn't mention it when she came.
-
IHLAOY NewbieA bead of sweat ran down Cutter's face as he smiled. That other girl was back! He loved that other girl, she was fun. And wanted to go to California. Cutter wouldn't mind a farm in California, he'd heard there weren't any bugs there.
"Well, I never got your name. Didn't think to ask, that was rude of me, I'm sorry. Names Manny Cutter; go by Cutter. I'd shake your hand, as per social norms, but I don't touch. It's dangerous." Cutter said, struggling to decide whether he should put his arm out anyway. -
Kass held in a chuckle. "My name's Kassidie, but I usually just go by Kass." she said, making sure any agents were to close. She drifted off in thought for a few moments...
"Hurry up, or you'll get caught. " her friend squealed. Kass shot her friend a face saying 'be-quiet-or-else look. She heard guards coming closer.
Her memory shattered as she heard a series of bullets whiz by the bush. -
IHLAOY NewbieA sudden pain burst across Cutter's arm as he talked to his friend. He was vaguely aware of something wet running down into his hand, and he couldn't move his arm, but that was fine. He wasn't using that arm anyway.
Grabbing the source of the pain in his free hand, Cutter turned around, "Did you hear something? I think something just bit me."
A patch of dirt exploded right next to him, and Cutter looked at it in confusion. "Kass, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I think this is a dangerous place to be. There's bullets, mosquitoes, cooties, the Brackersnap, weeds and makeshift explosives. I think I'm going to go home now. Just makes sense." -
Kass gasped as she saw the blood trickle down cutter's arm. "Y-your arm's bleeding." she studdered in shock. She looked around for help, but everyone was busy. "Anyways, where do you live?" she asked as soon as the question popped in her head.
-
IHLAOY Newbie"It is?" Cutter asked, looking at his arm. He took a minute to roll up his sleeve, and nodded in comprehension as he saw a dark red smear over his arm. So that's why his hand felt wet. And was hurting. "Damn, whatever bit me must have the largest chompers."
Without much fanfare, Cutter took a small bandage out of his bag and crudely wrapped it around his arm. It kept slipping, was barely tied and did little to actually stop the blood, but that's what he'd been told to do in an accident. Put on a bandage.
Standing up, Cutter looked around, before pointing further into the camp. "Anyway, yes, yes, we should go to my place. It's safe in my place, I have salt lines. Come on, we'll pick up Shade on the way." Cutter said, rushing forward into the camp. -
Clearing her throat, she got up, cautiosly looking around. Lots of wounded people. Some dead. Mostly what is expected during a little battle. She followed cutter, also looking for Shade. "Is it far from here?" she asked obsevering the wounded.
