"Dusk. " I reply as I sit.
-
"Nice to meet you," I reply, "I'm Anna."
-
My eyes find the floor- the spot they always seem to land on. I nod. "Yeah. Nice to meet you too."
-
I'm not sure what else to say, so I start reading again.
-
"I want to be in Gryffindor." I say, finishing off the frog. I pull out the card and grin. "I got Dumbledore. Now I only need two more, then I've got one everything." I say, putting it into my pocket. Snowball sniffs at my hand, then crawls up my arm and onto my shoulder again.
-
I nod. "That would be neat I guess..." I say, trying to be polite. I really don't want to be in Gryffindor.
-
I shift uncomfortably, leaning back into the seat. My eyes flicker. But didn't realize how exhausted I was.
-
"I can talk to snakes of any species. I can also talk like snakes."
-
I finally end op in an empty at the very end of the train. It's nice and quiet just how I liked it. Lounging, I take my calico cat, Ember, out of her carrier and snuggle up with the already sleeping cat. All she does is grumble a little then starts to purr, getting comfy in my arms.
-
"Yeah, that's definitely more than I can do."
-
"So, uh, is there a specific house you'd like to be in?" I ask. "If you just want to fall asleep though, go ahead and I'll stop failing at attempting conversation." I grin at her, before looking back to my book.
-
*But I didn't realize
I laugh softly, drawing my knees up to my chest so that they rest on the seat. "I don't really care. Mom was a Ravenclaw, Dad's a Muggle. I don't have any expectations. I don't particularly prefer one house over the other. I'm just waiting it out. How about you?" -
I sigh. Normally I don't say much about my family, but Dusk seems nice and...understanding. I don't get that a lot. Heck, I don't get that EVER. "Well, my whole family's been in Slytherin and they expect the same of me. Truth be told, they're all pureblood snobs and I hate every last one of them. I really don't care what house I'm in as long as I fit there and it isn't Slytherin."
-
I blink. Someone obviously needed to unload some stuff. "Sounds like... fun." I say, a bit lamely. I didn't know what that was like, being expected to reach a certain standard. My dad didn't give a crap about how I did in school. "You don't seem very...Slytherin-ish." I add.
-
"I know, and you beat me at one place. Being a pureblood slytherin sob that can't stand anyone of a lower blood class beating them."
