I turned to Bree and beckoned her over. "Luke, don't do this."
-
Luke laughed. "Foolish girls. You think you can tempt Fate? This battle was meant to be. And I shall rule once more!"
My blood froze. This wasn't Luke...it couldn't be. "Kronos." I growled. -

Sorry I hadn't refreshed the page in a while -.-)
I turned to look at the guy they called Luke/Kronos. "You... You look familiar..." I tried to think of where I had seen him. I don't have amnesia anymore, so why can't I place his face? -
"He was a camper." I explained to Bree under my breath. "He...did something, I'm not sure what, but now he is Kronos."
-
"I've seen him outside of camp. My mind says Alex, but she was taken by two men five years ago. Hmm..." I studied him. "Anyway....." I said. I leaned over and whispered to Diana, "help me I feel awkward."
-
"Luke is in there, somewhere." I told Kronos confidently. "He's fighting you, I can see it in his eyes." It was true, if only for a second. The creepy gold eyes that belonged to Kronos flickered Luke's baby blue, then back to gold. "You're not strong enough, Kronos."
"Luke Castellan is gone!" Kronos roared. "I have taken his body." He turned to an empousa. "Take the demigods to their army." He ordered, a mysterious glint in his eyes. "And send a message: that the surprise is ready."
(Only post for tonight. Sorry, but I need my sleep.) -
Seeing the heated glare that passed between Wesley and Lu- I mean Kronos, was almost sad. I remembered there was a time when they had been so close. In fact, before Beckendorf and Coonor had entered the picture, I had often thought that, given time, they could both lose their pride and become an item. And even if I was wrong, if their love had just been the brother-sister kind, those two had still shared a special bond. Maybe Luke was still in there somewhere, and if anyone could find him it was Wesley.
Shifting my focus to the unconscious demigods from camp, I realized something. Not all the campers were here. The rest of them were probably off fighting Kronos' army of creeps, and if that was the case, then we should be helping them. I narrowed my eyes as I recalled my last dream. They still had my brother.
"Bree, we should go help the others." I told her. "I think Wesley can handle this."
Walking over to the demigod in question, I put my hand on her shoulder. "Wes," I started quietly. "If Luke's still in there somewhere...You're the one who can save him. I believe in you." Taking my hand off, I looked into the eyes of my best friend. "Bree and I need to go help the others." Looking aside to glare icily at Kronos, I continued. "If you need help," I reached up to my neck, ripping off the necklace I always wore. The chain was hidden beneath my shirt. At the end of the delicate silver links swung a clear glass sphere. "Smash it." I instructed, pressing it into her hand. "I'll be here." Suddenly I was seeing the reality that my best friend was facing death. We all were. I pulled her into a tight hug, but made it short. Wes had never been overly fond of hugs. I backed away and turned towards Bree a second time. "Let's go." I muttered, flicking away a single tear. "The others need our help." -
I nodded grimly. "Good luck," I whispered, and looked down at her necklace. "And...thanks."
"How touching." Kronos laughed, the sound of it turning my blood to poison. He rose from his throne, bearing his Scythe, his symbol of power. "I must admire your courage, demigod, for coming here to fight me. Luke had some fond memories of you." He grinned evilly. "It's a good thing he isn't here to witness your death."
"No!" I screamed, tears blurring my vision. I charged at him, the evil Titan in Luke's- my Luke's- body. He laughed, throwing me backwards with a single, light touch. "Luke!" I sobbed. "Luke, please, I know you're in there." -
I led Bree towards Broadway, where shouts and the clash of metal could be heard. I spotted Some of the Apollo campers shooting arrows, and a group of hastily assembled Athena campers charged at Kronos' opposing force: A row of demigods, a few armor-clad telkhines and two empousai armed with spears.
-
Connor: Will, Travis and I followed Bree and Diana back to the Empire State Building. "What about Wes?" I shouted. "We can't just leave her!"
-
Travis: Diana turned back to fox Connor with a strange expression. It was half desperate, half angry. Their were tears in her eyes and she looked as though Wes had already died. "Di..." She shook her head. "She's with Luke." She sounded angry.
Diana: I clenched my hands into fists, furious with myself for leaving Wes. I thought she could handle it, but if she needed help, would she tell us? What if she decided not to break the necklace, and had already gotten hurt?! But I shake the thought aside, barley dodging an arrow. I turn to glare at the demigod who shot it, but his helmet covers his face, so I can't tell. (Mwahahaha! Bringing David back....) -
I stood up, strength flowing back into me. "You will not win." I growled. I will bring Luke back, if that means I have to die. Kronos laughed. "Then I shall kill you, demigod." He didn't charge, but only waved his hand. I slammed my knife into the ground, making a giant crack open up. Thousands of undead warriors poured out into the mortal world. I pointed to one section. "Help me fight him." I said hoarsely. "But don't kill him. It isn't time." They ran to fight Kronos, picking up Celestial Bronze weaponry. I faced the remaining soldiers. "You see those sleeping demigods? Take them to the Empire State Building. Don't kill any demigods, but if any monsters are in your way, feel free to turn them into dust."
I faced Kronos again, and was pleased to see him fully occupied with the army of undead warriors. That was good. It meant I could go and plan a way to bring Luke back, and kill some monsters at the same time. I ran away, after strapping on a sword and some spare armor.
