I ran through the training grounds, holding back tears. Why did Aphrodite hate me so much? First Percy, then Beckendorf, and now Connor. I threw myself onto the base of the the rock and sobbed. Everything that I had bottled up for six years was finally coming out. The grass withered around me, and the rock started crumbling. When I realized what was happening, I scrambled away. To say the least, I was terrified. But I couldn't go back yet. Not looking so...messed up.
Connor: I sighed. "It's fine...I guess. I'll go look for her." -
I looked down. "I really am sorry..." I mumble, now holding back tears of my own. I hadnt meant for this to happen at all! Travis put a hand on my shoulder.
-
Connor: I put up a goofy grin. "Really, it's fine. I'll just have to find some other way to catch her with her guard down." I grinned for real now, thinking of fun ways to prank my favorite undetermined demigod. "Dump her in the canoe lake, replace her black hair dye with hot pink food coloring, or maybe even put on some make up in her sleep that'll last a month!" I laughed. Now THAT would be fun.
-
I finished up the library with some other people. Then we went to go help with everything else. I looked around and noticed that Annabeth wasn't here. "Hey guys, where's Annabeth?" I asked.
"What? She left?" A boy asked.
"Maybe she snuck off with Percy," a girl said.
"What are you, a daughter of Aphrodite?" Another girl asked.
"Let's just focus on preparing for inspection." A boy said.
I nodded and went back to work. -
Travis laughed. "Yeah that would be awesome."
-
Connor: Percy and Annabeth showed up at the door for inspection. Percy was flippin through notes, and Annabeth was doing the actual inspecting. "Pretty good, guys. Better than last week."
-
We all finished cleaning and sat outside of the Athena cabin. I looked at the grounds of Camp Half-Blood. It was awesome.
"I got it!" A kid said, "Annabeth went to go do inspections!"
A couple people nodded and said, "oh yeah, right."
I smiled. I had forgotten that Annabeth did inspection. -
I nervously rub the back of my neck, awkwardly lifting Travis's hand off my shoulder. He blushed, and didnt meet my eyes. I blushed too, focusing on Percy and Annabeth. "Thanks. At least there's no dirty laundry on the beds..." I say, remembering last time.
Gtg bye!!) -
Connor: "I think I'll do the hair dye switch first, to see how she reacts."
Percy looked up. "I'm not sure what that's about, but...Cabin heads have a meeting in twenty minutes. Urgent." Annabeth looked up, worried. -
( Aw, bye :( )
-
I sit silent during the whole situation, forgetting about the inspection only moments away. "Well... I hope she's done cleaning her area," I say before picking up my strewn clothes.
-
I went back to my cabin, thinking about everything that had happened. I was immersed into a full flashback. [i]I stood in my mother's mansion in Tartarus, staring out a window. I stared at Damasen, the only kind giant in the world. I watched him fight the drakon yet again. I glanced at Iapetus, at Ahklys... and sat and wondered. Wondered why I never met my father, why I lived in this hellhole, literally. My mother wasn't any better, I fended for myself, slicing monsters into golden ichor since I could walk.
-
I wiped my face with my shirt, trying to clear my head. When was the last time I went to the training arena? To actually train, and not goof off with...with Conner? I stood up shakily, and headed to the training arena, gripping the hilt of the golden dagger I always carried with me.
-
I woke up, terrified. I walked over to the lake, trying to sort out why I had flashbacks. I didn't miss that life, but somehow... this life wasn't any better.
-
I touched the "heart" of the dummy, and stepped back a couple feet. Narrowing my eyes, and holding the dagger straight, I threw it. It pierced the forehead instead. I growled, walking over and taking it out. I tried again: right shoulder. Another shot: stomach. By the tenth shot, and still not getting the heart, I picked up a sword and lopped its head. I smiled. "Much better." I commented.
