Focusing on the steps, Ruby nodded. But it was hard to keep a steady beat, and she struggled even with the first step. But, in time, she began to get the hang of it.

"...and jump! There, that's the end." The terrier paused to catch his breath before smiling down at her. "You make a lovely partner. Would you like some punch?"

Ruby gracefully leaped, landing right next to Jeff. "I did it!" she rejoiced, slightly panting. "And yes, I would love some punch. Thank you."

He nodded, padding towards the large crystal bowl.
