"Hi Nova," Tia saw that he looked about her age, "What are you doing in the forest?" Tia then remembered how timid she was and realized he might not tell her.

Shara stood up. We slept late. Perhaps we should find those other elves.

Tia glanced at the water where she saw the bubbling and saw nothing. Tia looked at it, confused. Tia jumped down from the tree. "However you got here, it's not my business," she shouted to Nova, "it's almost sunset. I gotta go!" Tia ran down the lake again. She stuck her hand in the lake and smiled, it was deep. Tia walked on the water, then sank through.

Jordon nodded. Yeah... I didn't tell her I was a rider, though.

"The water feels strange." Tia muttered to herself. She was sinking deeper into the water. She looked up at the setting sun. Then looked down at the depths of the lake. Tia swam up a bit higher and sat on a ledge closer to the surface.

Nova waved goodbye, watching in envy as Tia sank deeper into the water. He sighed. "I wish I had that ability," he mumbled to himself. "...but I'm just a stupid, useless wielder."

Tia sat on the underwater ledge. Slowly she made an imaginary circle through the water. The water inside that circle glowed and swirled. Tia smiled, she had made the portal! She hoped her mother had put her bag in her room as promised. Tia stuck her hand in the portal and pulled out her bag. Tia did a silent victory dance. The portal then closed. She rummaged through the bag and found her pictures, her spell books and her daggers. Tia looked at the daggers and remembered how she killed a monster with them. She blinked back tears. She hated killing things. She lied down and fell asleep.

A little while later, Tia woke up, grabbed her bag and swam upward, breaking the surface. Tia sat on the grassy area beside the lake and looked through her pictures. She smiled whenever it showed her and her parents. Her favourite one was the one with her and her best friend Winter. She got up and walked across the water to practice.

Shara raised her head as she sensed another presence. Something watery is near.
