Whisperpaw pranced along behind him happily. -

Bearpaw stopped a foxlength away from the tunnel exit. "I'll show you the basics. First crouch down, like this." Bearpaw demonstrated. -
"Nope. You're good."
Whisperpaw copied his stance. -
"Bad."
"Now try that jump I had you doing earlier. " He motioned towards a small patch of moss. "Pretend that's a mouse, okay?" -
"Good!"
Whisperpaw crouched down, focusing intently on the little green patch. She shifted slightly before leaping onto it. She glanced up at Bearpaw. "How was that?" -
"Baaaad!"
"You did great! Try it again! " -
"Gooooooood!"
Whisperpaw grinned and pounced again, onto a different patch of moss. She wouldn't admit it, but some part of her regretted becoming a medicine cat apprentice. -
"Baaaaaaaaad!"
Bearpaw sat down. "You would have been a good warrior. " -
"Gooooooooooooood."
Whisperpaw frowned slightly. "Yeah..." -
"Baaaaaaaaaaaaaad! "
"But, due to the fact I'm not dead, you're also a pretty good medicine cat." -
"Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood!"
Whisperpaw smiled half-heatedly. "Thanks Bearpaw." -
"Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!"
Bearpaw grinned. "You're welcome. " -

I lay my prey down and bite in, quickly spitting out the fur and bones. "Gross... Too much fur..." But it was the first food source iv had in a while. So i dug in reluctantly.
