@Hikaru well I didn't know much about periods before I had it since my mom didn't tell me much she just said, "When you get your period I'll tell you more things" it never concerned me to go search up online about it cause I didn't really care much bout' whatever my mom was gonna tell me. -
I was 10 and it was late at night, I went to the bathroom and I saw red spotting. My mom has always been one to talk to me about these things so at first I was like 'Crap.' But then I just poked my head out the bathroom door and said, "Mom, I think I started my period." And yeah, been dealing with my wonderful gift ever since xD

I was around the age of 9. I had just changed schools and was a new kid. Anyway, what had been occuring was while at school, I kept finding reddish-brown patches in the front of my underwear and... it one day soaked all the way through but I was wearing dark pants so it didn't get noticed (LUCKILY!!!) but it didn't smell like flowers down there so thats what caught attention -_- I was scared to tell anyone so I just started stuffing toilet paper in my pants, trying to keep the blood off of my underwear. It was really embarassing, especially since the toilet paper once stuck out from my pants :\ Finally, I got up the nerve to talk to my mom, who of course started to blab about it to everyone. I started bawling but my mom in the end made me go to Wal-Mart with her and pick out pads. It was a dramatic, and gross experience. The next few days I was really sore and upset about it and didn't want to talk to anyone because I was embarassed...

I was either 9 or 10 when it happend,I was at wal-mart with my mom and I told her I needed to go to the bathroom and I saw these red spots in my panties but I didnt think anything of it but I still told my mom,my mom gasped and rushed into the girls bathroom and went to this little machine were they sell little pads for like 25 cents and bought me one and told me to put it on,and then she bought like this huge supply of pads and gave me this lecture about my period and the crampings.

Nobody told me what to do when you have your periods. I mean, my parents gave me a few random hints but it wasn't enough and they gave me the help like 1-2 years before I actually started the period so I of course forgot about everything.
I didn't really know how to handle it :\
