Here's the problem I see with electric cars, though.
The grid can't handle it. That's probably one of the reasons California gets so many blackouts because of the large amount of electric cars.
So then people are going to use generators to power their cars.
And what do generators use? Gas.
Another problem is the expenses of getting one. Not just upfront, but when they break down too. My dad's a mechanic and he's looked into this stuff just in case someone decides to bring him an electric car to fix up. He told me that they're crazy hard to fix. Like, just to get the battery out of the car is nearly impossible. And since there's no standardized...I can't remember the word. But basically each company has a completely different design, and so you're going to have to special order these tools and parts and kits all from each individual company. And it's more than often more expensive to do it that way than getting it say at your local parts store.
They've basically created the disposable car. There's probably not going to be a used electric car market either, because it's going to be so expensive to fix them.
The idea of electric cars isn't a bad one, but I don't think we're there yet.
Also I think T1FU has a point in going independent with our oil. If we hadn't gone on the global market, prices wouldn't have gone up. We relied on ourselves for gas and oil two years ago, and gas prices were far lower than they are whenever we go on the global market. I don't see why we can't go independent again. -
As soon as we joined global trade we were f---ed. Any time we try fracking our exports get mad and mess the gas prices up so our oil is worthless. They won't let us go that easily. America is already trying to get back with Iran for oil because they realize how bad the Russia deal is. Not to mention, a lot of our local oil is on native land and they are very against drilling for it.
It's absolutely insane how hyper dependent the whole world is on oil. It's certainly a much more complicated issue than most people realize. I've heard there are breakthroughs being made in the fusion energy. I hope for a more renewable energy source. Energy truly fuels the whole world. Just think about everything around you right now. I wouldn't have this blanket without modern energy. I wouldn't have my cat because I had to travel to get him. Virtually everything is contingent on our modern energy infrastructure, and that just happens to be mostly carbon based. -
Back to the point, I think that it makes no sense that we are (or were) supporting our enemy.

I heard today that Russia threatened a cyber attack on us. I haven't looked into it at all, someone told me.

I think that Russia might do something crazy soon, it doesn’t make sense that he slowed down the invasion. Is Putin backing down? I don’t think so. I think that he is waiting for the right moment when no one is looking to shoot Ukraine in the head

Update: Russia is sending big groups of reinforcements to the capital city. I do not think that Ukraine will last much longer…

Update: Joe Biden JUST called Putin a ‘War criminal’ and Putin admits that the sanctions are ruining the economy. Putin says he is attacking Ukraine because there are some nazis are there, but that CANNOT be the reason; the president of Ukraine is Jewish! WW3 in the making…

It is so ironic that us in America think of ourselves as patriotic but we are the exact opposite, and then Ukraine over there is being more patriotic then we have ever been in our history! This is crazy! We need to stand up!
