Thread Topic: Russian-Ukraine conflict
-
I wanted to have a thread for everyone to discuss their thoughts and feelings about the situation in Eastern Europe right now.
Russia officially attacked Kyiv today. It is disheartening to me that American politics seem to care more about reporting about the semantics than they do the facts about what's going on. Citizens of Kyiv claim that the sky was so bright it felt like day during the attack. It upsets me to see two vulnerable nations taken advantage of in less than a year. -

Joe Biden needs to his bum
-
If just literally ANYONE does ANYTHING then Ukraine πΊπ¦ will be alright
-
I heard that Spain got involved too
It's almost sounding like WW3 -
Leave Ukraine alone. It's not even our fight. We should stay out of it.
-
What is an alliance with the United States worth to anyone if we show everyone that in their time of need, we'll leave them on their own?
-
Okay, true, but it is not our fight.
-
The fight involves one of our allies. They need help. That makes it our fight.
-
I heard china is planning to take back Taiwan πΉπΌ again soon. WW3 yβall!
-
Okay. But my thing is that Biden is gonna get us all killed by throwing us in there. World War 3 is gonna happen and all of us, all around the world, are gonna get stuck in the middle. That's why I say we stay out of it. And politics aren't my thing, so I'll go now.
-
I also heard that South Korea π°π· is gonna be fought soon
-
I know we do not have to help out with some of these, but I do not feel like America should abandon them either. Remember Afghanistan π¦π«? The taliban something or another won! Remember that black see port that Ukraine had like 20 years ago? Owned by Russia now! The fact that we have helped them in the past but we are not gonna do it now is kinda sad. I guess that we are too full of ourselves here in the USA πΊπΈ. Remember when we used to fight communism and socialism and were seen as the strongest and most powerful nation in the world? Why canβt we go back to those days? Anyway, great talk! π

Some things are worse than death. I'm not a patriot by any means, but I don't believe any American would have a right to celebrate their "brave" country ever again if we chose to ignore a friend in need.
