If you're pro-abortion; I ask you; are you in favor of human slavery? Would you have supported the South during the American Civil War? How is this related? If slaves are property, then the North was wrong and the South was right. The North invaded and told those people what to do with their property. If they're property the slaveowner can do what he wants with his property. HOWEVER, if slaves aren't property but people, then there's a higher law at work than the political law that allows people to own other people. There's natural law at work that says "That's a human being and you don't have the right to own, sell or murder them. If you think slaves are people then you're on the side of the North, because they had every right to go down there and stop this murder of people.
Now the question becomes "Is this fetus a person or not?" Medical science has proven that there are only two events that happen in the womb; conception and birth, that's it. Everything else in between is just gradation towards these two events. So when people say "THIS IS MY BODY I DO WHAT I WANT THESE ARE MY CELLS ASDFGHJKL" They're her cells yes, I can take a blood sample of a girl and clone her perfectly. However there's no way to clone the individual fetus's cells because those are 1 in a hundred trillion unique combinations of chromosomes. That's the biological truth
The problem imo, is that they're no solution to this in our laws. The constitution says nothing at all about abortion, therefore it should a state/local issue -

Yeah, it's your body, but it's their life.
You're not just making "improvements" if you will, to your body, your taking away someone's life.
Even if the fetus is not yet a human, it will become one. Someday it will be one. -

Everyone who has ever said a fetus is not a child is an idiot. It will become one. There was going to be a life. You're basically saying that killing the fetus would not affect that. But it would. Because there would no longer be a life.
I don't care if it isn't one "yet". You'll still kill what it will be. -
@Vik --- birth control is the only logical and right way to prevent a rapid increase in population.

As for rape, yes it sucks, but there is a family out there that is right for that child. Everything happens for a reason. There will be a place for that child in this world. -

The ONLY time I would support abortion is in the case that the mother would die because of the baby. That I would understand. But that's the only time. -

It will be.
There will be a life there.
If it's aborted, you will take that life away.
You're acting like since the fetus is not yet a human, killing it won't affect anything.
But it will. There will no longer be a life there.
Whether the fetus is a person yet or not, you are still taking away its future life. -

TL;DR Trotsky is saying that instead of trying to ban abortions, we should remove the reasons for women to get abortions.
When women have children, they often have to abandon their positions for it. This and other factors in the economy make child rearing an economic burden. Many women choose abortion because they simply cannot care for a child. -
And many women might choose abortion because they can't raise a child since it will need time and attention. To raise a child "properly" you will need to dedicate many good hours of your life to the child.
Of course, someone can really enjoy those hours with her child if she loves children and later if her and her child become friends, but still there are many girls out there who just want to enjoy their youth and would rather not have the unwanted child born.
So, there's no way to remove the reasons for abortion. Because mistakes always happen(they forgot condom, they were too horny etc) -
