"What about your family? Do you have any siblings?" Preston knew he was supposed to be answering questions rather than posing them, but he never quite enjoyed talking about himself, given the circumstances.

"Well, my mother died in childbirth with my brother Leighton when I was 5, and my father died when I was 12 from a car accident. I lived with my aunt and uncle before I moved out." Trenton's eyes gleamed sadly at his words. "And I have 2 sibilings. A sister, Ashley, who's currently 25 and a brother, Leighton, who's 19."

Preston's eyes glazed over with a thin film of tears. "I'm sorry..."

"You have nothing to apologize about, dear." Trenton replied, wiping away Preston's tears with his gentle thumbs. He kissed the young man's forehead tenderly, stroking his hair afterwards.

"It's just, here I am complaining about my life and you've had it tough as well."

"We all have bad moments. As I always say, you have to go through the rain to get to the rainbow."

Preston glanced up at him. "But what if the car swerves off the road during the storm? Or a tornado forms? There's always a chance you can be struck by lightning too..."

Trenton chuckled. "I don't think that has happened."

"I don't know. I've just never braved the storm... The storm never really ends."
