Once he had finished eating and waited for Connor, Shiloh stood up to be excused, ready to finally leave the craziness for the night.
-
Connor stood up after Shiloh. He had finished his food already and was ready to get away from all these people.
-
-
The Prince smiled and walked back with Connor to his quarters.
-
Connor opened the door for the prince and smiled at him.
-
"Thank you, Connor." He smiled back and walked in, sitting back down in the chair from earlier.
-
Connor laid down on the couch. "So, when do you want to go to America?"
-
"Now, if that's okay." He said, barely containing his excitement and curiosity.
-
Connor smiled brightly. "Fine by me, dear prince." He got up and walked over to Shiloh and took his hand gently. "Don't let go of my hand."
-
He blushed softly and nodded, holding on tightly to his hand, not too tight of course.
-
Connor concentrated. First, he would do the location, then the time. He concentrated on going to America. Thinking of what it was like at this time. Their surroundings slowly dissolved into a gray cover. It stayed like that for about a minute before changing into the rustic scene of an American forest. Connor immediately heard gunshots in the distance. He pushed Shiloh down quickly and gently, so he wasn't hit. Even though the gunshots sounded far off, he didn't want to take any risks.
-
Shiloh watched as their surroundings changed, hardly believing he was seeing it. He hoped this was some kind of sad dream of something wonderful, but he would wake up disappointed. Suddenly he heard the sound of a gunshot, except the gun sounded more powerful than he was used to hearing. He felt himself be pushed back and fall to the ground, for a split second wondering if he got hit. "Connor!" He managed to yell out, worried if his new friend was okay.
-
*wasn't
-
Connor glanced back at Shiloh. "I'm fine, I'm right here, don't worry." He looked back in the direction the gunshots had come from. His burning curiousity wanted to go and see what was going on. But he knew he shouldn't. He stepped back and crouched down beside Shiloh. He took his hand again and concentrated on time. Everything started to speed up. Everything was going too fast. He crouched beside Shiloh as they watched two centuries go by in seconds. Soon, they were no longer in a forest, but in the backyard of a big mansion. He wondered exactly where they were.
