"Well I really appreciate it." He opened his door and started to get out, stretching his legs.
-
Connor got out and walked over to Shiloh's side quickly. "Do you need any assistance, dear prince?"
-
-
He smiled and shook his head. "Not that I can imagine, you've helped me quite a lot." He took his hand again. "So shall we go ask the owners if they have a room?"
-
"Well, I'm pretty sure they have a room. These places always do." He walked inside the building, holding Shiloh's hand and smiling happily.
-
He nodded and smiled, following him in.
-
As soon as they walked through the door, he saw the manager eye them. His eyes focused on there held hands and a grimace appeared on his face. Great, another one of these guys, thought Connor.
-
Shiloh smiled kindly, not really paying attention to the manager's distaste. He wondered if to let Connor do the talking, since he probably knew how to speak better than he did in this time. "Um, hello sir. We would like to rent a room for the night."
-
The man grunted in distaste. But he must've realized that getting paid for his job was better than bossing around two queers. "Fine, that'll be fifty dollars. And the only room left has one bed." He raised an eyebrow at them. Connor looked at Shiloh. "Is that okay with you?" he asked.
-
He nodded, trying not to blush.
-
Connor nodded and got his wallet from his back pocket. He took out fifty dollars and handed it to the manager. The manager handed them there key, and they proceeded to walk to there room.
-
Shiloh walked with him quietly, then decided to break the silence. "He thinks we're...?"
-
"In a relationship, yes. I don't understand. Girls experiment and it's supposed to be a turn on for guys, but if two guys so much as hold hands, they're gay."
-
He nodded, sighing softly. "I always hoped that in time things would be different, but I guess people just don't seem to understand. Men like him might as well live back in my century."
-
"Not everything has changed over the centuries, your majesty. A lot of things remain the same." He unlocked the door to there room and they walked in.
