(we are continuing!)
I ride farther into the desert and makes camp -
I made a fire to keep myself warm. It was getting colder each night.

i feed Midnight a carrot

I gave Runner another apple then fell asleep.

i put out the fire and sleeps

I woke up to heat. The fire had set my blanket aflame which, in turn, set my pants on fire. I screamed tossed a little water on it before it burned my skin.

i woke up at the sound of screaming..."Ugh.."

My heart was racing and I was panting and sweating. I walked over to Runner and petted his neck. He calmed me down a little.

i got up and rode off even though it was still dark

I fed Runner a carrot. It was still the middle of the night.

i the run into a dust storm "Oh great" i say

Suddenly a dust storm started up. I took the blanket and covered Runner's and my face.

me and Midnight looks away so that no sand could get in our eyes

I just stood there, holding the bag and blanket.
