He reached his car. He opened the passenger seat, pushing her in. He closed the door and walked around to the driver's side, getting in. "If you try to escape, keep in mind that I can and will catch and kill you." He started driving away. The security was still standing the way he'd left them.
-
I nodded and stayed quiet. "Do you want me to buckle in?" I wasn't sure what to do. I had never been held hostage before.

-
Mark shrugged, picking up speed. "Your choice."
-
I buckled in, hoping that would tell him I wasn't trying to escape. "Do you want to talk about anything?"
-
He didn't answer, hoping it would be translated as a no. After twenty or so minutes of driving, he stopped, stealing a car and hotwiring it. He drove along for about another hour in the stolen car, stopping somewhere in the forests he'd been in earlier.
-
I stayed quiet the whole time, hoping and praying I wouldn't get killed.
-
He pulled apart the wires and the car obediently stopped. He looked over at her, as if considering something for a moment. Seeming to decide, he flipped down the visor. "You'll be dead soon, so it doesn't matter." He took the brown contacts from his eyes and tossed them out the window. He grabbed at his red hair, revealing black hair slightly shorter than the red. He tossed the wig in the back seat.
(Had to do that when I realized Mark looks like Nathan.) -
Oh, forgot this. At the end:
He turned to face her, naturally ice-blue eyed and black haired. -
"Please don't kill me." My voice was small and trembled with terror. "I just turned 16 today. I haven't done anything with my life." I knew it was a lame sob-story but I really didn't want to die.
(Who's Nathan?) -
He laughed. "Get out of the car. I don't want your blood splattered on the seats." He opened the driver's door, stepping out onto the brown pine needles that had fallen from the trees. "And sixteen, really? You've probably had life pretty easy, huh?"
-
I got out of the car. "Umm...I guess." I was looking at his face seeing if I would recognize him.
-
He turned to look at her. "No shouting, screaming, crying? You're making this easy." He pulled the gun back out from under his shirt.
-
I stood up straight. If I was going to die tonight, I was going to go with dignity. "Do I get a last dying wish?" my voice was steady, calm. That surprised me since I was scared out of my wits.
-
"Nope." He raised the gun and quickly pulled the trigger. If his hand hadn't twitched slightly, it would've hit her perfectly. Instead, the bullet flew past her head, missing by barely a centimeter.
