"Um, okay Nat." His smile widened a bit.

"So, uh, what's your favorite color?" I decided to make small talk to pass the time.

"Don't have one," he muttered. Who focused on something as ridiculous as that?

"Oh, well, mine are purple and green." Making small talk with Mark was going to be harder than I thought. "What kind of things do you like, then?"

He shrugged. "I've been independently on the run since I was nine, so I don't have time to focus on too much other than where I'll be next and staying away from the threats of where I am now."

I brightened finding something I could talk about. "So, what states have you been to?"

"I've been in each state at least once." He grinned a bit, remembering those times.

"Which one was your favorite?" I was extremely interested and wanted to know what his life had been like.

He thought about her question for a moment. "Washington, perhaps."

"Cool. What did you like about it?" I was interested about what he had to say about Washington.
