Thread Topic: Hey Selena...
-
I sat and ate my breakfast savoring every bite. My parents soon walked in with their hands behind their backs. "We were going to save this for later but we decided you should open it now," My father said. He pulled his hands out from behind his back. He was holding a small box. I took it from him and untied the bow slowly.
-
He sighed, watching as the train came by.
-
I took off the the lid and squealed with joy. I dumped the keys into my hand and ran over to give them each a hug. "Thank you so much. You guys are amazing." My mom smiled at me and brought her hand out from behind her back. "And here is your first errand." In her hand was two checks. "One of them is for your banking account. The other is for the homeless shelter." I gasped and tears started filling my eyes. "Oh, thank you so much. You guys are always so nice and generous." I pulled Mom and Dad into a group hug. "So what does the car look like," I ask as I pull away, wiping my eyes.
-
He started the car, driving away. It'd be a good idea to figure out what the town was like.
-
My parents stepped on each side of me, putting their arms through mine. "Close your eyes, Nataly," my mother whispered in my ear. I obeyed and walked with them as they guided me outside.
-
He stopped the car in the back of a crowded parking lot and got out. It'd be easier on foot.
-
"Okay, you can open your eyes, now," Dad said. I opened them and almost fainted with excitement. "Omigosh, you didn't!" I walked forward to get a better look. I had dreamed about owning this car since I was five years old. "A mustang!" I was practically screaming. "This is the best birthday present EVER!"
-
He started walking around, mapping everything out by memory.
-
The midnight blue color shined in the sunlight. I looked back at my parents. "Go on," my mother shooed me away. I ran to the car, realizing I was in my pajamas, but I didn't really care at the moment. I put the keys in and started the car. I t smelled like leather and mint in the car. I closed my eyes and slouched down, basking in the light shone by my excitement and happiness. Life couldn't get any better than this.
-
He stopped at a coffee shop, going in and buying a cup. He paid with cash and walked down the street, the paper cup in his hand.
-
I buckled myself in and waved at my parents. They had already put my wallet in here with my drivers' liscense. I pulled out of the drive way and drove down the street. I was going to the homeless shelter first, so I could surprise Dave.
-
Finishing the coffee, he tossed the cup in a garbage can.
-
I arrived at the shelter a few minutes later. I parked in the crowded parking lot across the street then crossed the street in my PJs and slippers. I was wearing bed-shorts and a T-shirt that said, 'I work with the aliens. If you mess with me I'll use my mind powers on you.' Onthe back it said, 'Property of Venus'
-
He eventually came back to the parking lot where his car was.
