When I opened the door to my next class, I saw the the boy was there. I sat as far away as I could from him.
The Teacher asked who I was,so i could be added to the roll sheet.
"Aria Hale." I said. -
He glanced up. The new girl had walked in. She'd said her name. Aria Hale? So Aria Hale wore contacts due to an eye problem, when eye problems didn't exist anymore. Or maybe they did. He didn't know.
-
Just because he was there I felt sick.
"What if he tells someone?"I thought to myself over and over again.
I tried to pay attention to what the teacher was saying, something about calculus being a very hard subject and what not. -
When the other students filed in and class started, he tried his best not to think about Aria Hale, the weird new girl who had eye problems.
-
After the last bell rang,I raced to my locker. I needed to call my mother. After most of the people had left, I dialed her number and lowered my voice.
"Hi honey, how was your day?",said the voice of my overly cheerful mother. -
He stood in the hallway, putting away things and getting the textbooks for the classes he had homework in.
-
"Umm, pretty good...except...,"I said shutting the locker.
"Except what? Darling, are they already being mean to you?"
"No mum. It's just..that a boy saw me put in my color contacts.I told him I had vision problems, but I don't think he believed me."
"Well, dear, wait and see what happens.I doubt he'll try to find out what's going on with you."
"Okay Mum. Bye." -
He saw the girl again. Now that he'd seen something weird about her eyes, he HAD to find out what was wrong with her. No matter what.
-
When I arrived at my new home, my mother said that she had invited our neighbors to eat with us. I sighed, because I would need to use sunglasses during the meal so no one would notice my eyes.
I asked my mother if I could take down the pictures of me without my contacts, hair dye and make-up on.
She said no, because she didn't think anyone would look at them.
(How about it's his family.) -
When he got home, his parents told him about their new neighbors. He sighed. Apparently he and everyone else in his family was supposed to go over to dinner with them. He looked over at his two little twin sisters and his brother. Fantastic.
-
I put on a nice outfit, and ,of course, the sun-glasses.
"Aria, take those off. No one is going to notice your eyes."
"Okay mum, but I know that they will."
I went back up the stairs just as the doorbell rang. -
He sighed. His sisters were arguing and his brother was staring off into space. He nudged the three of them as the door opened.
-
"One second please,"my mother said as she opened the door.
"Aria get over here and greet our guests."
"Okay mum."
I put a smile on my face and opened the door. It completely faded when I saw who it was. I covered my eyes, pretending the sun was in them, so he wouldn't see. -
He frowned. Really? Her? Out of all the people in the world, it had to be HER? Maybe he could get out of dinner. He began thinking of solutions.
-
As the rest of his family filed in, I looked at him and said,"You're not the only one unhappy about this. Now get over it."
Then I went to help my mother with the dinner.
