as a minor could you tell your therapist you smoke weed? is that something they'll report you for or are they bound by confidentiality.. asking for a friend

generally the only thing a therapist is obligated to tell your guardians is if you intend to harm yourself/others. parents have a right to know about your treatment plan such as how often you go to therapy but they don't get access to your patient notes specifically. however i think it would be best to ask your therapist what they're mandated to report as every one is different

that's what i thought, thank you. i'm not so much worried about my parents because they sort of know, but esp after moving to a state where it's not legal i wasn't sure if she'd have to get in contact with authorities or anything like that

i'm so glad the first shows went well hell yeah, i hope the others do as well -
i have no motivation or energy whatsoever and i have genuinely almost no interest in anything i used to do before. i miss getting excited about things. i just sit and rot. idon't know what to do at this point lol
