(All clear now?)
The demons back at HQ didn't know it yet, but three of their kind had been killed. By a human. -
(Yea.)
I turned back to Mason, looking for the weapon he used. -
They'd find out soon enough. The three demons were scheduled to report back the next day. And they wouldn't be, obviously.

I found it, a large kitchen knife. I studied it.

And when HQ did find out, the human would be in trouble. Unless, of course, he did it for something else. What? His family? He could've been under influence of an angel.

It looked like a regular blade. Nothing any angel would have. I sighed.

If it had been under the influence of an angel, they'd have an excuse to go to war with heaven. Almost more preferable than killing the human.

I looked at the bodies once more. I'll have to leave this place, now that there are most likely other demons around, they'll find out where I am, or was.

Mason lay there, breathing softly.
(Gonna go take a shower. Bye for now.) -
I sighed once again.
(Okay, later) -
He muttered something in his sleep.

I kicked one of the demons bodies.

He yawned, waking up.

I turned towards Mason.

He looked over at her.
