How about the fire demons wanted to take the cat demons land? Then a cat demon meets up with a fire demon and they're sent to earth, forced to work together to get back to their homeland? -
Wait demons don't live on earth? Are we thinking of the same kind? The ones I'm thinking of look like humans but with claws and fangs and they live on earth..
